About this property
Rustic A-Frame Cabin in the Lush Woodlands of Grubville, Missouri
Nestled in the woodlands of Grubville, Missouri, by a creek, glampers can find this completely unique A-frame cabin where those who stay can relax and reconnect with nature and free range animals. Once a chapel, it's now in transition to a new look with unfinished walls and tall ceiling. The A-frame has the ability to accommodate up to five guests comfortably. This all-open studio cabin features a queen-size bed with a charming canopy type setting, a couch, and a pull-out sofa bed, providing for an enchanting stay. There is a dining table that seats six and a bar area with two bar stools, as well as a hanging chair. Two separate seating areas provide plenty of space to feel on vacation.
Water is run to an outdoor double tin sink wash basin for hand washing and doing dishes. A Berkey water filter dispenser is inside the kitchenette.
There is a Johnny on the Spot toilet outside the cabin and an eco-friendly composting bucket behind a curtain in the cabin. A shower and full bathroom is available by scheduling usage in the main building up the hill.
The space is heated with space heaters and a wood burning stove that takes the edge off when it's cold. There are fans and a small AC unit for warmer days.
Preparing a snack is made easy with a homemade orange countertop in the kitchenette, which is fitted with a coffeemaker, a small toaster oven, microwave, full sized refrigerator, and a 4 burner propane cook top. There is a charcoal and gas grill on the deck outside the A-Frame. Guest's should bring charcoal and lighter fluid.
All dishes, silverware, cutting board, cooking utensils, pots and pans are provided. It is to be noted that the cabin does not have running water inside. There is a hose that runs to the back deck with an old-time galvanized dual tub wash bin for dishwashing.
On a hot day, a fresh chilly shower out back feels refreshing. Towels are provided.
While sheets, blankets, pillow, pillowcases and comforters are provided, guests can bring sleeping bags or whatever they need for comfort. Bring cooking oil, spices, and paper goods for your convenience.
Outback, guests can enjoy the fresh forest air and a beautiful meadow and hillside wooded view from the spacious deck with table and built-in seating. The front of the A-frame has a fire pit area with wood for sale and an old time tin outdoor hot tub heated with wood. A hammock swings near by to hang out under the amazing country night sky where shooting stars are common.
The cabin is located on 70 lovely very private acres with self check-in. Once a conference center back in the '60's some buildings need to be taken down while others will be rehabbed to create a Spiritual Retreat.
There is a short walk down a sidewalk to the cabin so it's beset to bring rolling luggage or coolers. The sidewalks connect with a few stairs to the nearby parking lot or driveway are a little distance from the A-frame. When the weather is dry, Glamper's may pull their car close to the cabin.
Sweet and friendly free-range animals that include adorable dogs, ducks, chickens, and a pet Canadian goose are all part of the wonder. They love visiting guests if they are outside on the deck. The host asks guests to leave all pets at home, as the pets on-site guard the free-range animals with vigor.
The three-acre lake, creek, spring, and trails all make guest's stay special on the property. This property is a sacred spiritual sanctuary designed as a healing retreat. Glamper's are asked to be mindful of the other people, animals, sacred spaces, quiet and honoring to all. These hosts are very welcoming and look forward to guests' stay even though all check-in is done without contact.
The hosts are available via text, email or a masked door knock for anything you need during your stay.
Swings are found throughout this property, and two pavilions, a lake, and a creek are communal facilities at this glamping site in Missouri.
Events, such as potlucks and drum circles, are sometimes held here.
The hosts look forward to your stay!
