This could have been a perfect stay were it not for the lack of good and consistent communication from the host. The rather erratic and erroneous communication resulted in the following:Not receiving arrival information until after VRBO support called them to urge them to provide it, and ultimately after the scheduled check-in time. Not notifying the housekeeping crew about our booking, forcing them to rush to clean and, in turn, preventing us from accessing the villas at the agreed upon time (circa 2 hours later). Not acting on an AC unit maintenance issue, even after claiming they would call the technicians. Giving us the wrong lock box code, which kept us locked out of one of the villas for a few hours until they finally obtained the correct code from the cleaning folks. Refusing to grant a late check-out request to make up for the time lost due to the check-in issues. Agreeing on a rate for a different villa for an extension of our stay, only to suddenly change gears and charge us more as we were on the way to the site. The villas are beautiful, overall very well maintained, clean, the swimming pool is great. The cleaning crew does an excellent job and, clearly, it’s not the first time they save the day!
