Spacious property in rural setting Free Wifi

The house is a spacious modern Scandinavian style lodge on the edge of a holiday village comprising:
Wifi
Large living room with sofas, TV, dining area with table seating 8, patio door.
Well equipped open plan kitchen with electric cooker, fridge and separate freezer, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, cutlery, crockery, glasses etc.
1 double and 1 twin bedroom downstairs, 1 double and 1 twin bedroom upstairs. Shower room/toilet downstairs, family bathroom with bath and overhead shower, toilet and basin upstairs. Heated towel rail.
Patio at the rear is ideal for outdoor meals, overlooking adjoining farmland and countryside beyond.
Electric radiators in all rooms plus extra individual electric heaters if required.
There is also an iron, ironing board, vacuum cleaner, clothes horse and pegs.
Various reading books, games, jigsaws and playing cards. Brochures, maps and general information about local attractions.
All bed linen is included. Please bring your own swimming towels and tea towels.
Electricity is included in tariff.
High chair, travel cot and stair gate available for hire (£10 per item).
Use of all leisure facilities on site.

Fab family stay

Had a lovely stay in May 1/2 term. Plenty of space for us all. WIFI caused a bit of a hitch but we coped. Swimming pool was lovely and something to look forward to at the end of a day out and about.

In the words of my 6 year old daughter 'the holiday house was beautiful.' Had everything you could need and more & was perfect for our family. Completely spotless on arrival & a very comfortable stay for us all. The view was stunning! Will Definately be returning in the near future! Thankyou!

Lovely holiday

Easy access to the accommodation, it was easy to find. The house was very clean with all the kitchen appliances you could need. The park was very clean and not busy. Indoor and outdoor pools both excellent and booking was easy. The accommodation was spacious but dated but it did serve us well as a hub. Only thing I'd personally like to see would be a fence put around the garden area so the dog could be let out.

Lovely lodge to stay in

The property was lovely - the lodge was a good size for everyone in the party, with a fantastic kitchen, good sized table and comfy lounge. The indoor swimming pool on site was used a lot, not too crowded either. We didn't use the outdoor one due to having young kids that wouldn't like it for being too cold, but it looked in good condition. The teenagers almost died when they realised the lodge didn't have good Internet, but they survived. Getting into the property and contact with the host was brilliant from the initial enquiry through the holiday.

Location excellent. Accommodation poor. No washing machine, no Wi-Fi, floor boards very loud when walking on them, no washing line, nearest laundry 8 miles away, sink drainer blocked throuought whole holiday even after reporting to maintenance, path outside building uneven and dangerous, contracted nova virus whole family (suspected indoor swimming pool). Would not recommend to family or friends.

Great for families

Did the job! Came to stay for a few days with the kids and grandparents as a base to visit family in Cornwall and Devon, and the whole set up worked really well for us. Well equipped and furnished, well maintained, clean. Lovely position - kids’ play area conveniently only 50yds away - with great view. A pity the heating seemed to be on a timer we couldn’t puzzle out so didn’t wake up to warm house (weather wasn’t great that week!), but adequate heat eventually when / if needed. The only facility it lacks is a washing machine, otherwise the lodge was well fitted out with all that we could need for our stay. Black out curtains would also be an improvement, as the ones they have let a lot of light through in the mornings, but we had a travel blackout blind with us for the kids anyway so it wasn’t too big an issue. Nit-picking, really, as there was little we could find fault with and it was also very reasonably priced so excellent value for money. The inside pool is very good (didn’t brave the outdoor one!), and we only used the pub once but the food was good and the kids were happy with their menu options too. Plenty to recommend, and I’m sure we’d look to come again if/when we are next visiting down that way.

We have just had the most enjoyable stay here !!everything was just perfect it had everything we needed the lodge was clean and very well equipped..the hosts communicated with us well and everything was explained and helpful ..they left us some lovely Xmas goodies ..can’t wait to come back here next year ..the bush family x

Great Autumn stay

The house was clean and warm .The location looking over the fields lovely with owls calling in the morning. The pool and games room up at reception were great to have for the family to use.

Lovely spacious property with a gorgeous view. I'd seen reviews about the creaky floorboards upstairs and I have to say they were very annoying and couldn't be avoided so does need sorting. I would suggest the addition of a washing machine. As a family of 5 I had to resort to handwashing and a lot of washing to bring home! Only other thing was no WiFi which would have been handy as everything needs to be prebooked now due to Covid so having access to WiFi would have been useful. Otherwise a lovely stay, my boys particularly loved the swimming pool!

Excellent experience

Lovely and comfortable house with all equipment needed. Beautiful area peaceful and quiet. Umbrella outside will be good for the future as most of the time has been raining. Shower downstairs didn’t worked properly. We had a great time and definitely will be back in the next summer.
