Waiohuli Beach Hale is a small oceanfront complex located in Kihei Maui Hawaii. This property has a great aloha feeling with a relaxed and quiet atmosphere. Each unit is steps from the ocean and is centrally located to great shopping, restaurants, beaches and is minutes from the championship golf courses of Wailea and Makena. In addition there is a 60 foot solar heated pool, barbecues and shuffleboard located right next to the ocean.This complex is one of the great finds in Kihei Maui for its affordability and charm. Whale watch, windsurf, walk the beach and enjoy magnificent sunsets from your lanai. Waiohuli Beach Hale is a Maui property where guests return year after year.

Loved our stay. Everything from the ease of check-in, the condition of the condo, cleanliness, pool and grounds, beach, to checkout. It was a very pleasant stay. The location was great as well. We will be back for sure!

Ideal for family reunion

My husband and I travelled with our two adult children and their spouses, renting three condos here. Lots of chances to be together at the lovely beach and pool, and enjoyed grilling and eating in the picnic area. Nce to have the convenience and privacy if individual condos. A great stay!

The location of the property is incredible right on the beach. All the upstairs units have a view of the ocean. The unit we stayed in definitely needs some updating compared to the other units, overall it’s a good value.

11 Days in paradise

The property and grounds are so beautiful and well-maintained. The pool is a very generous size and the ocean/beachfront is a two minute walk from your door - the property has it's own beachfront with lovely sand. The unit itself was adequate - it could use some updating - particularly the bathroom. The kitchen is well stocked with needed cutlery, dishes, etc. The living room and bedroom are quite comfortable, and the view of the ocean and grounds is wonderful. We would stay in this Unit again, but would like to see a few things fixed up.

Water heater and pest issues

Unit location is good and looked clean on entry. The unit has pest issues and water heater cannot serve family of 4 with each taking 5 mins shower. Dont count in sofa-bed, on request they gave us air bed which was good. Rest of the things are fine. Well furnished kitchen with towels and sheets.

Nice but dated

The complex is a nice little set of condos on the beach. This particular unit is clean but dated. The kitchen was poorly laid out and a challenge to work in. The art is very dated. A couple of lights barely worked. And the biggest bummer: the pool is colder than the ocean, so nobody (except a dedicated lap swimmer) spent much time in it. Nonetheless, we had a nice time in Maui.

Unit D-214 is on the second floor with no elevator, but it's right next to the parking lot so you shouldn't have problems getting in and out. Just be ready to carry what you need up one flight of stairs. Everything was comfortable in the room. The two portable AC's did great. Highly recommend staying here if you can work with a second floor unit.

Fan in bathroom doesn't work. Original cabinets in kitchen. No smart tv. Chairs on lanai need to be tall enough to see over the railing.

Curtains are old ,dirty and have holes in them . Bathroom cabinets are peeling, no counter space. We looked at some other units in the complex and the ones we saw were quite updated for the same amount of money.

Waiohuli Beach hale has the best location, grounds and overall appeal.Unit D214 needs remodeling! The carpet is worn and stained. The bathroom cabinets are falling apart. I scratched my leg on the bathroom cabinet. The screen door is extremely hard to open/close.D214 was equipped with everything we needed.We were comfortable and it was adequate in amenities. It just needs to be updated.Waiohuli Beach hale is a hidden treasure in Kihei.We hope we can return again next year but we would choose another unit if it was possible. I highly recommend Waiohuli Beach hale!

Nearby shops and restaurants make having a car unnecessary really, but there is much to see and do all over the island. It is quiet and peaceful with friendly people.Unfortunately this particular condo, D214, is in need of some remodeling. The bathroom in particular is very outdated and some of the cabinets are falling apart. Sink and bathtub are stained and way past their prime. It's hard to tell if it's clean or not. There is no dishwasher. The mattress on the pull out couch is extremely uncomfortable.We have stayed at Waiohuli Beach many times over the years, but I would not stay in this unit again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This condo was a tremendous value! It was significantly lower in price than other units in the complex. It's not luxury, and I was a little concerned given the price, but it was totally comfortable and reasonably equipped. I needed to do some virtual meetings, and the internet and WiFi were excellent. Really, it's a good condo. The only possible negatives were that the bed is way too soft for me - I sleep on a firm mattress - but it was okay. The more significant issue is that the unit is in the interior corner of the U-shaped complex, and there is no privacy. Not a place for a romantic dinner on the balcony. The neighbors just below and around the corner were loud and I ended up going in from the balcony because of their noise. When they weren't there, the location was completely fine.The rental management people were easy to deal with and responsive to any issues.
