The place was cold as the pellet stove and heat pumps didn't keep the bedrooms warm.

The home was very dated, the furnace didn't work, the dishwasher didn't work. The homeowner disclosed the furnace not working on the day we traveled 5 1/2 hours to the home. There were other heat sources (heat pump in the primary bedroom, pellet stove in the living room and heat pump in the kitchen); however, fuel odors forced my husband and I to leave the large primary bedroom and my best friend to sleep on the couch. The room we moved to did not have any heat source. While packing up to leave we realized there were no smoke detectors, which ultimately is why I felt compelled to write a review.

We apologize for your discomfort. Apparently the fuel line under the home which had been frozen and worked on unfroze and some fuel leaked onto the cement pad. We weren’t aware. There is a portable electric fireplace that can be moved into the bedroom and another heater. We thank the guest for the constructive criticism and will give a discount on their next booking!
