In the heart of the fabled Dahlonega Plateau Wine Region, our “Napa of the South”, lies Springer Mountain Ranch - a once-in-a-lifetime 25-acre retreat where calming waters, boundless forest, and open sky converge. Here a charming Farmhouse overlooks a fresh mountain spring that meanders through the property and feeds a sparkling private lake. Expansive spaces unfold for morning walks, while miles of private trails invite exploration. This rare estate borders more than 867,000 acres of the Chattahoochee-Oconee protected National Forest, creating a seamless extension of wilderness that guarantees privacy, seclusion, and an unmatched connection to the land. At sunrise, mist rises off the lake as you sip coffee at the waters edge watching deer graze. By evening, a picnic blanket on the dam becomes the perfect vantage for fiery sunsets over the treetops. Whether fishing, picking windflower in the meadow, gathering around the fire, or simply basking in the stillness on the hammock, every day here feels like a storybook escape into nature.
Anchoring the property is a custom-built 3 bedroom, 4 beds, 2 1/2 bath Farmhouse with all the modern amenities. Step inside to find a sunken fireside family room that opens effortlessly to the open floor dining room and overstocked chef’s kitchen with a breakfast island and solid wood cabinetry. A 100 year old antique wood cookstove centers the space as you break bread with friends and family around the oversized farm table. A large window filled sunroom overlooks the landscaped grounds and lake, the perfect place for sipping your morning coffee, shooting some pool, or a family game night - and also converts into a comfortable bedroom. The main-level primary suite offers vaulted ceilings and a grand king poster bed with Tempurpedic mattress and a private ensuite his and hers bathroom. The two spacious queen bedrooms continue the home’s signature craftsmanship with luxurious bedding throughout.
Outdoor on the generous covered porch, a hanging bench, whiskey barrel table, and a cozy lounge - frame commanding views of the fresh mountain spring, expansive lawn, and lake. Traditionally a timber farm and a breeding home for purebred English Springer Spaniel puppies, the property also supports a working garden that rotates vegetables, a pumpkin patch, and wildflowers for picking. Kids can ride the zipline while friends catch bass and bluegill off the dock, or roast fireside smores in the evenings as the fireflies dance and the frogs sing.
Complementing the main house is the optional attached Carriage House, a fully appointed mother-in-law suite with king bed and queen sleeper sofa, offering a separate and welcoming live / work retreat.

Christmastime is like peering into a snow globe that came to life, a whimsical holiday world draped in twinkling lights, with rambling horse-drawn carriages and Santa Claus sightings around every corner. And year-round festivals, parades, theater, and musical events promise every day surprises.
Around town you’ll enjoy the refreshing mountain air as you discover local river tubing and waterfall excursions, the brand new Pinetree Waterpark, lavender farms, two zoos, endless hiking and gold mine adventures. You might even catch a rodeo!
Along our country roads you’ll tour our world class wineries, breweries, and distillery! Four miles away is Wolf Mountain Vinyards and their full service Café, specializing in French style blends and their famous Sunday Brunch. Further along you’ll find yourself indulging in the delicacies of the Tuscany-like village of Montaluce – and the Three Sisters, Doghobble, Kaya, Frogtown, and Cavendar Creek wineries are all within an eight mile radius of the farmhouse. Springer Mountain Ranch is an owner managed and lovingly cared for vacation home, there’s no big corporate agency here. Our other property, High Frontier Lodge - a mountain cabin in NC, has a VRBO rating of 5 stars – because we specialize in providing a personal, memorable experience for our guests!

1. The rental amount that VRBO generates based on your dates and guest count are for use of the Main House only, for a maximum of eight guests. If you’d like to add the Carriage House that sleeps an additional four guests (our total maximum capacity is 10), please let us know in your introductory message during booking and we’ll send you a separate request for $150 per night, which includes all fees.
2. Booking guest must have a positive rating or host recommendation from previous VRBO rentals. PLEASE DO NOT SEND US A BOOKING REQUEST IF YOUR ACCOUNT DOES NOT HAVE THIS. If you're not sure, please use the "Contact Host" link instead of a booking request and we'll be happy to let you know. Booking guest must be age 25+, and must be present at the home for the duration of the stay. No one under the age of 18 is permitted on the property without their parent or legal guardian. A rental agreement will be sent to the booking guest and must be signed before the reservation is considered confirmed.
