I was sad to leave! Just a very special place!! I’ve stayed in a LOT of different places and none compares!! It was an honor & our dogs absolutely loved the place!! Never seen them so happy and comfortable in a place!!

The property upon arrival looks very impressive and beautiful but when entering the house many issues came up. The first thing that occurred was the inner storm door handle fell off immediately. Once inside it was clear that minimal cleaning had been done as the floors were not swept or mopped. The refrigerator had something spilled all over and dried to the shelves and had to be scrubbed to use it. The coffee station was well stocked but the machine did not function and we had to buy one for the weekend to use. The bathrooms were well stocked but smelled terrible of sewer and the floors were gross. Beds were comfortable and bedding was nice quality. Many outlets and lights did not function especially in the master bath making preparing for a wedding a challenge. They have no iron or ironing board on site. The recliner is electric and did not function and was stuck half up. The fireplace was fantastic and there was plenty of wood. Outside on the back deck the railings were loose and the gazebo was in need of maintenence as shingles flew off and struck a guest. Outside in the wooded area there was a loud alarm of some sort that was going off the entire time so it was not as peaceful as it looked. We contacted the property directly prior to submitting this review and they confirmed that it had not been checked or cleaned prior to arrival. No compensation was offered of any kind. It is a beautiful property with great potential but for the cost we were very disappointed.

Overall, this is a really nice and peaceful, cabin. They provide everything you need so you don’t have to rush to the grocery store right when you get there which is so nice. However, the only thing was the downstairs basement has a really loud buzzing noise due to electricity box.. if you’re a person sensitive to sound, it would be really hard to sleep down there.

Hi Sarah, We are so glad you enjoyed your stay! Thanks for letting us know about the buzzing noise! We just sent someone out to address the noise and they found that a box just needed to be tightened. We appreciate great guests like you letting us know when something unexpected comes up.
