Higher Ground Retreat is located in Little Valley Mountain Resort where you have access to so many great amenities that are included in your stay! There is an outdoor pool, putt-putt, four stocked fishing ponds, par 3 golf, four hiking trails, patio fire-pit, tennis court, basketball, volleyball, badminton, batting cage, horseshoes, disc golf, playgrounds, and picnic tables. All these are included in your stay at no extra cost! The resort office is located on the resort where you can find all the equipment needed for the amenities. We even provide fishing poles and sell live bait at the office. DVD movies available for rent. All the fun stuff is right here at the resort!

When you venture into town, you are only 5 miles from the main parkway. Just minutes from Dollywood, Gatlinburg, outlet malls, grocery stores, restaurants, and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park! There is an easy drive to Cades Cove from the resort that will avoid all parkway traffic. This cabin is in the perfect location to feel like you are secluded in The Smokies, but you are still close to all the attractions.

Great stay

Great cabin, very quiet. Perfect for a couples getaway. Two cabins rather close in the front, but perfect private back porch with hot tub. Would recommend this cabin highly, also others in this neighborhood look to have great views.

Cozy Cabin

Great cabin in Wears Valley, far enough away from the tourist traps to enjoy the some peace and quite but close enough to go enjoy everything else with the kids. Having a wood burning fireplace was really enjoyable

Black Bears!!

We saw black bears at our cabin!!! Location was good. The cabin was so clean and had everything we needed. 9 Hole Par3 golf course is very limited in size so greens are used more than once. Overall, a nice stay.

Nice Retreat near Pigeon Forge

Nice property, worked well for the 3 of us. Towards the top of the hill at the resort. There is a new construction right next door, but there was no work being done while we were there. Only thing we weren't too fond of were the beds (personal preference), but otherwise everything was great.

Wonderful Cabin!

The photos do not do this cabin justice. It is spacious and clean and in a great location. The property is awesome and filled with activities. I loved that the cabin had a plethora of cookware and all of the every day conveniences . We doordashed a few times and never had an issue with people finding the place. I love that it is pet friendly and our dog really enjoyed watching all of the squirrels. The deck and hot tub area was really relaxing and made us never want to leave!

Great place to stay!

Very nice private cabin and just minutes to Pigeon Forge! We were happy to be away from the hustle and bustle of PF. Lots of activities for the kids at the resort. Cabin was nicely appointed! If you plan on cooking, recommend bringing paper plates, seasonings, foil, etc. as those are not supplied. Plenty of paper towels, pots/pans, utensils and firewood. We would definitely stay here again! We also enjoyed the hot tub.

Perfect Cabin and Location

Loved our stay at Higher Ground. The cabin was perfect for two couples and it had everything we needed to make the stay a memorable one. All four of us also enjoyed all the amenities that were added with the resort area. We took advantage of tennis, disc golf and basketball. There was so much more we didn't get a chance to try on this trip, but maybe next time. We also appreciated being removed from the craziness of the Parkway. Just the right distance to really feel relaxed while in the cabin. We will definitely consider renting cabin in this resort again the next time. Thank you. for a wonderful vacation.

Nice Getaway to the Mountains

We enjoyed are stay in this cabin. A family of 3 with a teenager that was not feeling that great. Felt secluded, even though a house was a cross the street and being built next door. Lovely two bedroom, two bathroom. Hot tub was great and we used it alot. About 30 minutes to Gatlinburg (due to traffic), but had some great hikes. Would love to rent this place again. Only thing missing was a curtain on the front door. Seemed to be missing one, as it only covered one side of the door.

very nice, 15 minutes from the strip

very nice. so just know you will go up a scary road to get to your cabin. (5 minutes up once you past the club house) but just exspect that because it is a mt. cabin. Not too scary just know its not well lit and its narrow.

One of the BEST cabins in the Smoky Mountains!

My wife and I are travel vloggers and I surprised her with a weekend stay at this place for her birthday. We both absolutely loved it. It was clean, secluded, and the resort had everything you could want to do. A beautiful, tidy cabin

Cleanness is my top priority when I look for a place. Everyone mentioned how clean it was, and it is true. It was very clean!! The hot tub was what the doctor ordered and the family enjoyed the pool table a lot. Would recommend this cabin to anyone.

Great getaway!

This property was everything as stated in the pictures. This property has everything you need to stay in! The appliances were great as we made most of our lunches/dinners on our trip. The cabin is great in size especially for 2 people. The hot tub was nice and hot. The wife enjoyed the hotub on the deck while I enjoyed the little 9 hole disc golf course on the premises in the morning. We will definitely be coming back with more people!

The resort is very quiet and the cabins are spaced apart to give privacy. It's very clean and well maintained. The check in/out process is easy. Lots to do at the resort like swimming, golf, frisbee golf, hiking, and fishing right on site. The grounds are beautiful and close to anything you could want to do. You won't be disappointed!

Higher ground, but worth it

The cabin was awesome, although I hate driving up the mountains, but that's part of it. Check-in and out was easy. Cabin was very clean, thanks to Eli, wish we could have stayed longer than 4 nights. The only thing that we felt could have made it better is a TV in the bedrooms.
