The house is located in a mature residential area, right on the forest in a quiet location. In the immediate vicinity you have the opportunity to undertake extensive hikes on foot or by bike in a large forest area. But you can also swim a few laps in the nearby heated outdoor pool in the shade of the forest in summer. Depending on the weather, a climbing forest invites you to have fun, the mini golf course also promises to be a pleasure. Of course there is also the possibility to check your handicap on a golf course in Sandtange.
If you want to go shopping, one of the oldest pedestrian zones in Germany in Oldenburg is ideal. You can easily reach the city of Oldenburg on quiet paths by bike, but also by bus or train. We would also like to recommend the nice and good cafes and restaurants in and around Sandkrug.
If you feel like exploring the Wadden Sea World Heritage, you can be there by car in about 30 minutes, the train takes about 1 hour from Sandkrug directly to Wilhelmshaven on the North Sea.

But if you want to relax in the Birkenheim house, a large covered terrace offers the opportunity to relax there in any weather. A large garden facing south / west invites you to sunbathe, you are welcome to use it. If you want to have a barbecue in the evening, there is the possibility to enjoy the sunset at the same time on the front of the house.

In the living room there is a fireplace (the wood is provided) which floods the entire living space with cozy warmth.
