Direct Mountain/Valley Views with tall greenery gives you privacy. Just an absolute delight of a house to spend time with family and friends. With daily visits from deer allow you to enjoy nature at it's finest! You may choose to relax and enjoy the cool mountain breezes while rocking on the porches or sitting inside by the fire place. Both areas are so relaxing you can feel your stress melting away!

5 bedroom, 4 bath, beautifully furnished, all hardwood floors, view, level entry, second living room with brand new 3 slate solid wood Pool Table and wireless internet. Fully
equipped, kitchen, 7 TV's , Gas Fireplace, dish washer, microwave, full size washer and dryer, 1 king bed, 4 queen beds, sleeps: 10, .3 to Lake Coffey, 1.5 miles to ski area .2 miles to golf course. This home has a garage, large back porch with view and daily visits from the wildlife (deer) on the property. *NON-SMOKING*

A multitude of activities are located in the area. Many folks enjoy white-water rafting and kayaking, as well as the new zip-line adventures. Local attractions include Tweetsie Railroad Theme Park, Grandfather Mountain, downtown Boone and Blowing Rock, Linville Falls and Caverns, Mast General Store, and many more places of interest. For those who love nature, in the spring, summer, and fall enjoy over 10 hiking trails on the mountain, area waterfalls, and trout fishing in many lakes and streams around.

If you are planing a family reunion or simply getting together with another family or friends we also own a second home (also listed here) that backs up to each other for easy walking back and forth so that you can be close yet have the privacy of your own home. Message me for more information about the second home. Minimum 3 night stay, during Thanksgiving and Christmas minimum of 7 nights required. If you are visiting at Christmas time don't worry about packing a tree we already have a Christmas Tree and decorations! Unfortunately we can not do a back to back reservation for the same day. Due to the size of our homes its just impossible to properly clean them in the short period of time in between.

We have a local, to Beech Mountain, property manager available 24/7 if you should have any issues. We appreciate you caring for our home as you would your own home. Relax and enjoy!

Great Stay

We were able to enjoy a great skiing weekend and snow storm while at Beech Mountain. Our property manager was amazing, she was so helpful and kind! This property was perfect for our family to enjoy some much needed down time!

Beautiful place on the mountain

Plenty of space for a group and had a great time on Beech Mountain. Kitchen was well stocked. Deer were fun to watch so close.

Beautiful and Comfortable

Our 2nd year at this rental and another great experience! Love this home! It is perfect for our group of snowboarders, horseback riders and those who like to lounge by the fire and play pool! Has everything needed and beds are comfortable! Clean, quiet and private! Can't ask for anything more!

We didn’t ask enough questions. The house only has heating. It has no AC, which is apparently common up there. You could tell it didn’t have AC. The downstairs was musty and the house wasn’t cleaned properly.

Comfort Zone

House was very cozy and comfortable! More than enough room for our family of 5. Had a great time at the ski resort and enjoyed the foot of snow! Great private road to sled down! Only "complaint" is the garbage was pack full when we got there and wasn't picked up, to no fault of the host. We let them know so hopefully will be cleaned out for the next guest.

I did call the Town of Beech Mt after you said the garbage truck drove by and missed our house. I was told due to the winter roads conditions they were on a alternating schedule, basically everyone's pick ups were cut in half. We did not know this or we would have made other arrangements for the trash removal. Unfortunately I can't control the Town trash. Trust me we were annoyed at it also. It has since been picked up. I am glad that you had a great time and that the house was cozy and comfortable.

Gorgeous Views and Great Location

We stayed at Moose Manor for an MLK ski weekend and the house was awesome. Plenty of room to spread out and everything was in order. Communication with Debbie was great. She was very responsive and could not have been nicer. My only comment is that if there is a chance of snow you will need chains or 4WD. There is one road in and one road out and it is steep and curvy. Gorgeous views once you get there!

Beech Mountain GetAway

We had a fabulous stay at Moose Manor at Beech Mountain. The pictures on the VRBO were everything it stated plus!!! The rental was quite comfortable and very cozy. The kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils we needed. We took four high school seniors for a "senior ski trip" and they utilized the downstairs. They enjoyed shooting pool and watching movies on the large tv screen in the game room. We never heard them so you must have great insulation!!! We loved it and would definitely recommend it to others!!!

Perfect Mountain Retreat

Moose Manor certainly lives up to its 5 star rating. First, the cabin is CLEAN! Bathrooms, showers, refrigerator, flooring, blinds, and windows are spotless. Next, the amenities. Everything that you need already exist on the premises. This includes a well stocked kitchen, TV's in almost every room, Wi-fi, etc. The bedrooms are very big; the beds very comfortable. Sheets and towels are provided and are of high quality. The living room is big and well furnished. We played games on the massive dining room table. We could not have been more pleased with the total experience. We will be visiting again in the near future-don't hesitate to rent this wonderful property!

Moose Manor Fan

The weather was a welcome change from Columbia, SC. The first family groups that arrived enjoyed sitting on the back porch as they enjoyed the weather, the deer, catching up, and the mountain view. Going ahead with renting this house was a fantastic decision. It turned out to be a humid stay, so the hot wash list contains a dehumidifier for every bedroom in any mountain home stay since few of them have air conditioning. Some of us had ahard time falling asleep. My list would also contain a temperature probe for grilling. All in all, we enjoyed our mountain trip thanks to the Moose Manor. I had to make one phone call and I got excellent service. The vrbo messaging worked well too.

I'm glad you had a nice stay and enjoyed all of the wildlife we have around the home. There should have been a meat probe in the utensil drawer for the grill, I will definitely look for it and replace it if needed. This summer has been warmer then usually and we'll look into more dehumidifiers.

Poor quality of property/not as represented

The house was very dirty ie; dirty silverware, lots of dirt under beds, ice tray had mold in it, crock pots had cooked food in the heating portion, dust everywhere. Many broke items is; fridge ice maker didn’t work, condiment holder on fridge door broken off-glue attempt didn’t work, light bulbs in living room burned out, towel holder bar in bathroom pulled loose from wall, kitchen table and several chairs loose and wobbly. There are many more discrepancies.

Home was ok; expectations were not met; stressed out mother of the bride

We rented this house for family for the weekend of our daughter's wedding in August. We needed 5 bedrooms, which was the primary reason for selecting this home. Overall, we were disappointed, and I have waited to review this house intentionally to let some time pass . We were told by the owner that we could get into the house at noon (which was needed to complete preparations for the wedding). The management company called while we were on the way to Beech Mtn to inform us that we could not get in until 3. We had planned to get some things done for the wedding, drop stuff off, go grocery shopping, and then get ready for the dress rehearsal (which was scheduled for 4:30pm). We were not able to get any of this done. We ended up having alot of folks over to the house after the rehearsal to get those things done. The neighbors called the police (supposedly due to the noise). The cop showed up and heard no outside noise and left. There was also a wasp nest on the back deck and 2 people got stung. To say the least, we were not pleased with the entire situation. Unfortunately, we can not recommend this rental.

Check in time is at 4pm, when guest request an early check in we accommodate if possible. We gave you access an hour early and yet you still complain. If you absolutely needed the home by noon then you should have rented the day prior to guarantee it. As for the neighbors calling the police I have no control over that, I will state that is the first time that has ever happened. I spoke to the neighbors after and they were concerned over the large party at the home. I apologize for the wasp stings, we did find the nest after you left, it was under the porch and not visible. We did have it removed but we had no prior knowledge of the nest prior to your stay. Best of wishes to the newlyweds

DIRTY...Keep looking!

After being in a car for over 6 hrs, we arrived to a dirty house... I wanted to just turn around and leave. We were a long distance from home, we didn't know if we could find somewhere else to stay or at what cost. We considered contacting the property manager but this is the same company that "supposedly" has the house ready when you get there. It was after hours so we made a decision that calling was probably a waste of time, even if we contacted someone then we'd have to wait for a cleaning person to come out (and we'd already seen their version of "clean"). I had plastic gloves and cleaning wipes in the car so my husband & I spent the next two hours cleaning what we had to touch and use. I didn't photograph everything but I do have some pics of dirty toilets, dirty fridge & freezer, kitchen sink nozzle with pink mold caked on it, disgusting mildewed and mold covered shower curtain in the master bath. The master bath also does not drain properly. We were able to clean and use the bathroom across the hall from the master. The light switches, tv remotes, door handles, etc. had not been cleaned. There is a layer of dust all over the house. This trip was supposed to be my husband, three of our friends, and I. I had to tell two of them not to come (we drove in on Thursday and everyone else was supposed to come in on Friday) because one of them has bad allergies and the other has a small child at home. I just didn't feel like it was healthy for either of them to be there. I didn't want to cook anything in that kitchen so we planned on making use of the grill. When we opened the garage to pull the grill out, we found a note on it from "management" not to use it that it was inoperable. We spent A Lot of Money on a long weekend vacation, we can't afford to just throw that kind of money away so we cleaned the best we could and tried to enjoy the time that we could but I've never been so disappointed, and disgusted, with a property rental. There is a pandemic, cleanliness should be a priority! I knew that I had to write an honest review so that other families don't have the same experience we did.

Meanwhile if the home was that bad I would have thought we would have been notified. You were there 3 days and not one word except for this review. Good family time

Great balcony with a nice view with swing ,which we loved! Deer were everywhere. Great neighborhood for walking. Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms need updating and WiFi was intermittent.

Family Ski Trip

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this property. The first time was great! This time we were very disappointed in the cleanliness of this vacation rental. There were empty water bottles and trash under the beds, a man and womens underwear (disgusting!!!) under another bed, and very dusty. Also there was mildew on 2 of the shower curtains. We did contact the owner and she had the cleaning lady contact us who challenged my complaints. The owner I felt was dismissive of the complaint and passed the buck to her housekeeper. I did not think this was a professional way to handle the issue. We were charged a cleaning fee upfront for a dirty rental. The housekeeper offered to come clean again during our stay but how inconvenient that would have been for our family during our vacation. There were numerous other little issues but I will leave it at this . We should have been refunded our cleaning fee but that wasn’t offered

Ski Getaway

Overall the property worked well for our needs. It had plenty of space for our group and was well stocked with cooking items. We found trash and food in some rooms so it could use a better cleaning before our arrival. The coffee pot also didn't work so that was a bummer. But we loved the location, amenities, and price point, and size of the place! Would definitely consider Moose Manor again!

Perfect Winter Mini-Vaca!

This is someone's home. My home isn't the cleanest, but this house is very well kept! There were a couple of things that really didn't warrant calling anyone: the showers need to be draino-ed, but not a big deal to real people. There was plenty of room for two families of 4 with kids fro 14 to 4 and 4 adults. You have a view AND so close to the slopes and the village. The deer! OMG...we had carrots aplenty, and they were here for it:) I definitely recommend for families and family friends traveling together! :)

Great Cabin to enjoy a weekend away with family
