The cabin was clean and Martin was a great host. He brought us some fresh chicken eggs and some tomatoes from his garden. We met his dogs Tank and Max. We really enjoyed our stay.

We had a delightful three nights at Base Camp. We loved the views, the quiet, the host's dogs visiting us and the proximity to Durango. Our host, Martin, added to the pleasure of our trip with his outgoing personality and kindness. Highly recommend.

This was the perfect “base camp” for our hiking around the Durango, Telluride, Ouray and Silverton areas. We loved the scenic views and peaceful feel yet it was still convenient to town. Martin was a very responsive host and we enjoyed chatting with him during our stay. His dogs Max and Tank were the welcoming committee and they took their jobs seriously!

It was a pleasure to host Beth and her group. They were gone enjoying what Durango has to offer, most of the time but were a pleasure when they were here! They were very respectful of my Base Camp property and left the cabin in perfect condition. I would welcome them back anytime!

Peaceful, clean cabin with a comfortable bed.Very convenient to town, but secluded in the woods with a view. Owner is a great guy and we became friends during the visit. I actually ended up in the hospital during our stay for emergency surgery and he was more than gracious in working with us with an extended stay. Would highly recommend.
