The property was not ready for our stay. While we were thankful the host allows pets, the cleanliness was unacceptable. Upon arrival, we were greeted by pet hair from previous guests, human hair, and massive amounts of dust throughout. The stove hood was covered in thick grease and more hair, and clean sheets were simply stuffed into closet cubbies rather than being properly placed.When we contacted the host, he insisted he had cleaned the place himself—despite us paying a cleaning fee. While he did send a cleaner back to address the kitchen and staircase, the host remained on the phone the entire time, translating and questioning our requests.Because we were in town for an important Statewide Championship Swim Meet with early morning starts, moving our family and pets would have been a massive disruption. As a result, I had to spend my own time cleaning the remaining areas. For the price and the additional cleaning fee, the host should consider hiring a professional service to meet basic hospitality standards.
