About this property

Private cabin 6 miles from Aztec, NM & 35 miles from Durango, Colorado

If you love nature you are going to love The Songbird. All day long you will hear songbirds. And in the evenings, you may see deer, turkeys, pheasants, geese & quail. It’s a 1-bedroom 512sq.ft guest house with a 256 sq. ft. covered porch and it’s located at a secluded distance from our private home. It was built for visiting family members and is used throughout the year. The little cabin is surrounded by 4 ft. chain-link fence so that everyone, including our pets, is welcome and safe.

Room was clean except for the blanket on the bed. Directions to the area were fine but Google Maps had us turn into the property before. Once we turned into the correct property we did not know where to go since there was no mention in the description that we were looking for a cabin called Songbird. That would help to direct travelers quite a bit. Luckily the owner was right there to direct us. Updates to the cabin were super cute!

The best rental I've ever stayed in! Kathy's place is a serene, picture perfect haven where you can escape from the world, but still be close to amenities. You can see horses and mules just outside the back porch, wild geese, turkeys... and you'll be welcomed by birdsong in the morning. Kathy allowed us our privacy and the cabin is in a secluded spot, but she responded immediately to any messages or requests. You're just a few minutes from town with restaurants, grocery, and the beautiful Aztec national monument. The cabin had everything we needed and then some, and the dog-friendly fenced yard and washer/dryer were especially appreciated. If you're looking for a quiet, well-appointed place to relax and restore your soul, this is it.
