We have created a private entrance to the River Roost and provide lodging for day/weekend/extended stays/special events. The space features a queen bed in the bedroom and a cozy living room with a sofa bed, perfect for extra guests. The bathroom includes a refreshing shower and a hair dryer for your convenience. The open living living space includes a table and chairs for dinning or working, large screen TV, Wi-Fi and cable. The kitchen is fully equipped to make a meal or simply a cup of coffee. Adjacent quiet area is ideal for reading or relaxing next to a gas fireplace. Get back in touch with nature with our extensive patio and deck. We were a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 teens) visiting our child at Susquehanna University. Jane had reached out with check-in instructions several days prior to our trip, and gave detailed directions to the property, and the side entrance. The apartment had everything you needed from home to prepare a meal, and coffee and tea were available. The furniture was comfortable and our teens enjoyed the local snacks as we watched a movie together. Our host Jane was friendly and gave us helpful suggestions for local weekend activities. We enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to the next time we can some to The Roost!

I wanted to be within walking distance of our student at Susquehanna University, and this was the perfect location.It was a quiet place to rest, the Wifi worked great for working remotely, and the kitchen & bath were well equipped for a half-week stay. Why they chose this property

Our home is located in a peaceful, quiet, very safe neighborhood. Susquehanna University is just one block from our house so you can park your car and easily walk to SU or our downtown area. Many of our guests have enjoyed walking in our neighborhood or walking through the campus at SU. We are also close to The Isle of Q which is located next to the Susquehanna River. This is a beautiful place to walk or ride a bike while you enjoy the view of the river.

What makes this property unique

It is a park and walk location, and our extensive patio and deck are a great place to get back in touch with nature or just sit and read a book.
