A wonderful, cozy, one-bedroom apartment in the heart of Fort Greene, Brooklyn. This 3rd floor walkup in a charming brownstone offers a fantastic view of Fort Greene Park, gets lots of natural light (from both the north and south), and is a 5-7 minute walk from virtually every NY subway line. A perfect spot for one of two guests.

As for the area, Fort Greene was named one of the coolest neighborhoods in the world (by TimeOut Magazine) and it's hard to disagree. Sample some of the popular restaurants, check out performances at BAM Brooklyn Academy of Music) or maybe bump into Spike Lee as you're walking down the street (his offices are around the corner!). Whether you want to tour the big city or kick back in the quieter borough of Brooklyn, this apartment couldn't provide a better home base. Comfortable, quiet, and extremely convenient!

Tim Struby here, former journalist turned entrepreneur. As much as I love traveling, I love having folks experience their own from my little Brooklyn oasis. It's a perfect combination of rustic charm (beautiful brownstone, wide, tree-lines streets, across from the park, etc) with modern amenities: dishwasher, sunken lighting, sleek kitchen, etc..

Why they chose this property

I'd been in Manhattan for over 20 years and got tired of the madness. I wanted a little more green space, especially with my puppy. I couldn't have found a more ideal spot!

What makes this property unique

This is easy: it's kind of got it all. First, I'm right on the park, so I get no shortage of green space and sunlight. Second, it's a short walk from some of Brooklyn's best restaurants, the Barclay's Center, Atlantic terminal, and basically every subway. I couldn't believe that it is easier to get anywhere in Manhattan than when I lived in Manhattan!
