Pracownia Boruja Heritage Country House –4 Bedrooms, Large Garden, Near the Lake
Welcome to Pracownia Boruja — a one-of-a-kind, protected historic countryside home created for deep rest, slow mornings, and real regeneration. You’ll have the entire house and garden exclusively to yourself.
You’ll be staying in a protected Dutch-settler (Olęder) cottage from 1830, lovingly restored using traditional, natural methods: clay walls, wood details, and thoughtfully sourced furnishings in a zero-waste spirit. The moment you step inside, life slows down — in the best way.
This is a place designed to feel “like home, only calmer.” Whether you’re here for quiet mornings, long conversations by the fire, creative work, or simply doing nothing at all, the house and garden invite you to breathe deeper.
--> The house (entire home, all to yourself)
You’ll have the whole home exclusively — with space to gather and space to retreat.
Perfect for family gatherings, friends’ getaways, and calm countryside weekends.
• 4 bedrooms (beds for up to 11 guests)
• Bedroom setup: 3 doubles + 1 triple
• 1 living room with a cozy fireplace
• 1 bathroom (the house is a protected monument — layout changes are limited by heritage conservation rules)
• Fully equipped kitchen for cooking and long, shared meals
• Large garden for lounging, reading, and slow meals outdoors
In season, you’re welcome to enjoy the garden’s gifts — fruit and vegetables straight from the garden beds. Please note: no meals/catering is included — the kitchen is excellent for self-catering.
--> Outdoors & garden life
Step into a large garden made for doing less and feeling more:
• morning coffee among birdsong
• sunbathing on the grass
• space for reading, naps, barefoot walks, and slow conversations
• a fire pit for evenings under the stars
• a covered outdoor shelter for meals and lounging
There is also an additional building on the property — the Pracownia studio (can be also used for by the guests).
--> Location & what’s nearby
Pracownia Boruja sits in a quiet, green rural area where the soundtrack is mostly birds, wind in the trees, and your own thoughts.
A short bike ride takes you to a clean, tranquil lake — perfect for a swim, fishing, SUP, or an unhurried afternoon by the water. The surrounding forests and country lanes are ideal for walks and cycling.
You’re also in the Kozioł Region, known for local culture and musical traditions, with traces of Olęder heritage still visible in the area’s architecture and old farmsteads.
For day trips, you can explore:
• Wolsztyn Roundhouse (Parowozownia)
• Open-air Museum of Folk Architecture of Western Greater Poland
• Marcin Rożek Museum
And just beyond, the Lubuskie region opens up with its vineyards and wine routes.
If you prefer not to plan anything at all — the garden was made for that too.
On the property, there is also a craft studio where workshops are sometimes held (optional, never required). If you feel like trying something new, you can learn how to make natural candles, soaps, and cosmetics step-by-step in a calm, inspiring atmosphere.
Pracownia Boruja is more than a place to sleep — it’s an experience that stays with you.
(We’ve been featured in multiple media outlets, including major Polish TV and press.)
