Welcome to the Desert Kingsley in the Wonder Valley neighborhood of 29 Palms! Relax at this 5 acre, fenced-in, resort-style compound that is walking distance to The Palms restaurant and bar, 15 minutes from the nightlife and unique dining of downtown 29 Palms, and 18 minutes from the eastern entrance of Joshua Tree National Park and Tortoise Rock Casino. Enjoy the beauty of the desert from the jacuzzi, pool, or outdoor fireplaces while playing one of the many games that come with your rental.

THE SPACE

The Desert Kingsley is a five-acre home lined with beautiful, mature trees in the heart of Wonder Valley. All five acres of the property are fenced in to keep you, your pets, and kids safe during your stay while keeping the resident wildlife out. The house is kept cool in the warm months with central Air Conditioning and mini-splits and warm in the winter with a central heater.

KITCHEN | COOKING

The kitchen is a darling but fully functional space that comes equipped with marble countertops, an electric stove, a moveable island, six stage, reverse osmosis filtered water, and utensils to meet all of your cooking needs. There is also a four-burner BBQ just outside the front door for you BBQing needs.

BATHROOMS | SHOWERS

There is a full bathroom for each bedroom, with two of the bathrooms connecting directly to bedrooms. Each bathroom has its own distinct style with beautiful tile floors and marble countertops.

BEDROOMS

The Desert Kingsley has three bedrooms with comfortable beds and large closets. Each bedroom has its own distinct style and TV, one of which has bunk beds in addition to a full size bed; perfect for families. This room also comes with its own video game system.

DINING

For large parties, you can either dine at the table in the indoor dining area that seats twelve or underneath a rustic chandelier light at the outdoor dining table, which seats eight. There is also a darling breakfast nook just off the kitchen for those quiet morning cups of coffee and two small outdoor tables that each seat four for smaller meals outside.

FIREPLACES

If you enjoy relaxing by the fire, you have many options at the Desert Kingsley. You can either relax by the gentle flames of a modern, propane fueled fire pit or under the stars in the outdoor fireplace in the backyard. If you are looking for a little more heat, you can build a bonfire in the fire pit in the back of the property. For those that want to cozy up to watch a movie, there is an electric fireplace underneath the large flat screen TV in the living room.

POOL | JACUZZI

The Desert Kingsley is one of the few properties in the desert that comes with a large pool and a jacuzzi. You can cool off in the 18'x 18' above-ground pool or warm up in the jacuzzi with a view of the mountains and sunrise. The pool is next to a large pergola providing comfortable shade all year, seating areas, and tons of lounge chairs for soaking in the sun or gazing at the stars.

GAME ROOM

The large game room is completely separate from the main residence and comes with a full size ping pong table, pool table, darts, corn hole, ring toss game, and retro Ms. Pac Man arcade game with multiple games from the 80s and 90s.

NEIGHBORHOOD

Wonder Valley is just east of the up-and-coming town of 29 Palms, but is still remote, private, and perfect for stargazing, gatherings, and expeditions into Joshua Tree National Park. If you don't feel like cooking or going into town, you are located just down the street from The Palms Restaurant and Bar, the only establishment for miles and a local gem. It is a charming, kid-friendly, restaurant and bar owned and run by a local family. The food is delicious, the prices are reasonable, and the staff couldn't be nicer. You can usually catch an open mic night featuring local talent as well. Please check the hours of operation before you go to make sure they are open. They tend to be closed Monday through Thursday.

ENTERTAINMENT

If you feel like staying in, there is Starlink Wi-Fi, a TV with an Amazon Firestick in every bedroom, 10+ board games, a collection of 200+ DVD movies., and two video game systems. The house comes equipped with a SOBRO, Bluetooth, coffee table speaker and numerous outdoor seating areas where you can gather, relax, and socialize including two hammocks with great mountain views. You can also play horseshoes during the day or under the night sky.

ADDITIONAL LAND WITH PICNIC TABLE AND FIREPIT FOR STARGAZING

If you want an even more secluded experience to truly enjoy the beauty of the desert and night sky, your rental also comes with access to a 15 acre, undeveloped piece of land just four minutes' drive from the property. There is a sign at the entrance that says "The Desert Kingsley" and a dirt road that leads you to a fire pit in the middle of the property. Please be careful as there are no lights on this undeveloped piece of property. Please remember to clean up after yourself and replace the sign at the entrance for the next guest.
