Overall, the place was clean, and we appreciated the fenced back yard for our dog and we appreciate that they allowed a dog. While the place was clean, it does show its age. Also - there are stairs up to the front door, and they were slightly slanted so be careful. I almost fell a couple of times while carrying things. It's fairly convenient to grocery and restaurants and the neighborhod is quiet.
This is a neat little property in the Fort Worth area and is walking distance from many museums and the botanical gardens. There is lot's of stuff to do in the area. The host was great and easy to work with.
We enjoyed our stay. The neighborhood is quiet and well kept. Location is ideal if you are flying in for a concert at Dickies Arena as it is 2-3 blocks from the venue. The only thing we noticed was the shower handles needs a little TLC. Other than that I would definitely recommend staying here. Oh and the Stockyards are only a 15 minute drive!
We had a good stay at this rental! The location is fantastic, close to everything Ft. Worth has to offer, making it incredibly convenient. The house is small and simple, but it was the perfect size for my husband and me. It was clean, well-maintained, and the neighborhood felt safe, which added to our peace of mind. If you're looking for a cozy, no-frills option in a great area, this is a good choice.
Planned a trip to see an exhibit at the Kimbell. This was the best place to stay for the cultural district. Cozy with all the amenities. Short drive to the museums and the Stockyards. Great communication with host when problems arose.Definitely will be our go to place on our next visit to Fort Worth.
The location of this duplex is excellent for visiting shops on Camp Bowie, Fort Worth Museums and Dickies Arena. Easy walk.
The home is older so don’t expect a new build but it is spacious, clean and comfortable with a fenced yard if traveling with pets
I would recommend for its location. .
Great location close to Will Rogers Memorial Center and Dickies Arena. The home is in a quiet neighborhood and felt very safe. The home is older so may not be in "pristine" condition, but it has new fixtures and appliances. It is well laid out and the heat and air work well. Host is great with communication and gave us great restaurant suggestions. Overall, a wonderful stay. Thanks Chris!
It is a well located pet friendly place which is hard to find. The listing needs to improve the cleanliness and provide enough toiletries and kitchen supplies. There was only one toilet paper roll for a family for 8 days. Most surfaces were dirty. There are no smoke detectors. The owner was fast at responding for check-in and check-out.
Communication with the owner was 1st class. He got back to me with answers to questions before our stay very quickly and was really helpful. When we had a problem with the TV not working during our stay, he arranged to get someone out to fix it. This is the only good news. The house is in serious need of modernising and needs a thorough deep clean. We had to vacuum the settees on arrival as dog hair was all over them and the table was "sticky". The kitchen applicances need updating. Whilst the bedroom and bathroom were clean (fortunately) the place was and felt dirty, to the point that we wanted to spend as little time as possible in the house. If you read other reviews, lack of cleanliness is a common theme. The area is OK (Dixies is just down the road), and it is 15 min drive to the Stockyards area. This house was the most expensive place we stayed on our trip and the most disappointing. It feels like everything is done on the cheap, almost like student accommodation. Needless to say we would not recommend this as a place to stay.
This was a very charming house in a great neighbourhood. It was close to so many activities and good dining. Chris was very responsive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We travelled to Fort Worth to visit family. The location is central to everything. Owner was very responsive. The house was clean and bed was very comfortable. Our dog travelled with us and the backyard was perfect. Neighborhood is very quiet.

Quiet Neighborhood
Fenced yard perfect for dog.
This place is a diamond in the rough. With some renovations (that should be coming as per the owner) it could be a gem.
If you are looking for a quaint cottage with LOTS of character in a GREAT location, this is the place for you.
It was a great fit for 2 adults and a pup. It would be tight for more adults. We stayed for a month while our home was being renovated.
You can't beat the location. A safe neighborhood and walking distance to museums, concerts, stock show, restaurants and bars. We walked to restaurants with our pup and dined on patios. We also walked our dog all through the area.
We had a few issues during our stay we had to contact the owner about. The owner responded immediately and resolved all issues in a timely manner, Top notch support.

About the host
Hosted by Chris O'Toole
I am originally from Dunstable, England, I moved here six years ago to be with my wife Sarah, who I met at University in Denton on a gap year. She purchased me in a bachelor auction. We currently live in Fossil Creek, Fort Worth with our two dogs Lola and Jack.
Why they chose this property
My wife's parents own a four-plex in the area that we have been managing as they live out of state, so we decided to try it ourselves. This house needed extensive renovation, so it has had a brand new roof, all new double glazing windows, new paint and crown molding, carpet, tile floor, bathroom, 42' (smart) TV's and brand new furniture and decor throughout. We decorated it with features that we would want when we stay at a vacation rental.
What makes this property unique
This house was built in 1933 and has a unique retro charm about it, with a new front path and stairway. The front patio is a great place to relax and bbq and the back yard has lots of room for dogs to run around. The interior has lots of windows to allow natural light inside.
We are only a few minutes away from the Historic Stockyards, where you can see a longhorn cattle drive, rodeo, visit the saloons and Billy Bobs the largest western dance hall. You will see lots Cowboys and Cowgirls. The Will Rogers Memorial Center also hosts year round horse shows along with many other events. We are minutes from all the Ft Worth Museums and down town.
