Welcome to the Alte Schule, a former teacher’s residence from the Wilhelminian era that has now been lovingly transformed into a holiday home full of character. Here, the charm of days gone by meets timeless elegance—in a harmonious green-and-gray colour scheme that radiates tranquility and a sense of security.
The spacious country house, with its high ceilings (2.70 m), offers approximately 240 m² of living space across two levels for up to five people. It’s a place where you can take a deep breath—far away from everyday life, close to your true self.
The moment you step inside, you feel the special magic of this house: the entryway with its small library, where you’ll want to linger; the round table, perfect for long evenings of games and conversation; and the hanging chair with a view of the enchanted, overgrown garden.
In the lounge area with a fireplace, the fire crackles while the seasons change outside. An infrared sauna offers soothing relaxation, and the island kitchen invites you to cook, enjoy, and laugh together.
The large leather corner couch by Wood Bean is the centrepiece of the living room—a place to unwind, snuggle up, and simply be. With plush pillows, soft candlelight, and the warmth of the fireplace, it creates an atmosphere you won’t soon forget.
Whether summer or winter, morning sun or snowflakes—the Alte Schule is a temporary home that touches the soul in every season. A house with character, history, and a whole lot of heart. Away from the tourist hustle and bustle, in a small village with about 270 residents, you’ll experience pure rural charm at the Alte Schule holiday home. Swimming in the summer:
Just 2.5 km away—within walking distance—is Billingsbacher See, where you can go for a swim if you’d like. Dogs are allowed, provided they do not disturb the anglers.
Swimming in the Jagst River: In Bächlingen near Langenburg (approx. 13 km), the Jagst is a popular spot for a refreshing dip—also fantastic for dogs!
Above Mulfingen (approx. 9 km) lies the reservoir, covering an area of 20,500 m². There are sunbathing areas on both sides of the lake. Dogs are not allowed.
