About this property

Historic castle in Norfolk

Middleton Castle has been a family home since the early 1600s, with parts of the property dating back to 1450. This historic castle is surrounded by a moat and set within acres of rolling farmland. Middleton Castle is in an impressive setting with panoramic views over the lawned gardens and unspoilt Norfolk countryside, offering an ideal and peaceful location for guests.

The space
With a private approach up the driveway to the castle, this exclusive-use country estate on the outskirts of the village of Middleton is magnificent and guarantees complete privacy. The castle can accommodate 30 guests across 15 bedrooms.

Middleton Castle has a family kitchen with an AGA, a separate prep kitchen, an oak-panelled dining room, and four good-sized multifunctional reception rooms. There are a variety of landscaped lawns suitable for croquet and an additional six-acre lawn. The gardens have multiple outdoor seating areas, and a Summer House is available.

All fifteen bedrooms at Middleton Castle have been recently restored and renovated and are beautifully decorated to a high standard in keeping with the elegant and classic style of the rest of the property. In addition to five elegant en-suite bathrooms, there are five family bathrooms and three separate loos, all of which have locally sourced amenities.

Whether you are planning a celebratory time away, a holiday with family or friends, you will have exclusive use of Middleton Castle. The estate is big enough for you and your guests to spend the duration of your stay within the privacy of it, or you can use it as a base to explore this beautiful part of Norfolk.

The landscaped gardens and the estate's surroundings provide a space for guests to relax and unwind. For those wanting more activity, we can offer a wide range of garden games, a stunning billiards room, table tennis table, and expansive countryside for walking, running or cycling.

Guest access
You will have full unrestricted access to the house and gardens. The staff at Middleton Castle will be in touch directly to assist you before your arrival.
If you have any questions about your stay, please do not hesitate to contact us.
