Welcome to Cowie Cottage, a cozy countryside retreat located in the peaceful community of New Glasgow, Prince Edward Island. Set on a shared rural property with one other separate cottage, Cowie Cottage offers a relaxing Island escape surrounded by rolling farmland and scenic river views, while remaining close to PEI’s most popular destinations including Cavendish, North Rustico, and Charlottetown. The ski park is just a 17-minute drive away, making this a comfortable year-round getaway.

Cowie Cottage is a compact yet thoughtfully designed home featuring three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The sleeping arrangements include two queen beds and a third bedroom with two bunk beds, making it well suited for families or groups traveling together. The cottage is intentionally designed with a smaller footprint, and some bedrooms are more compact—ideal for guests who plan to spend their days exploring the Island and enjoying the property rather than seeking oversized interior spaces.

The cottage has its own private entrance and private deck, complete with a fire pit, picnic table, and sun chairs—perfect for unwinding outdoors after a day of adventure. Inside, you’ll find a comfortable living space with two TVs, a game console, and all the essentials needed for a relaxed stay. A washer and dryer are located inside the cottage for your private use, offering added convenience for longer stays.

This is a shared property with two separate cottage units, and guests at Cowie Cottage enjoy access to shared amenities located nearby. These include a game room with a pool table and darts, a trampoline, and bikes that are shared between both cottages. The spacious yard offers plenty of room to relax and enjoy the peaceful countryside setting.

Due to the rural location and proximity to a working dairy farm next door, guests may notice insects, particularly during warmer months. We regularly spray and maintain the property to help reduce insects, though some are to be expected in a natural countryside environment.

You may also spot cows grazing nearby, adding to the authentic PEI farm experience. The cottage is just minutes from local favourites such as the New Glasgow Lobster Suppers and The Preserve Company, as well as nearby beaches, walking trails, and family-friendly attractions.
