Nestled between a bird sanctuary and fields, its close connection to nature lets you experience the bliss of country living. <br><br>The Location <br>Designed with an eye for detail, the holiday home is situated directly on the Eider dike between Husum and St. Peter-Ording (both 20 minutes by car), in a quiet location outside the village of Oldenswort. It’s an ideal starting point for exploring the beauty of North Frisia and the North Sea in every direction. The nearest shopping and dining options can be found in nearby Tönning.<br><br><br> ’s Amenities The interior design blends the old with the new—the furnishings are a mix of modern designer pieces, design classics, collectibles, heirlooms, and custom-made furniture. This, combined with the setting of the old thatched-roof farmhouse—renovated in accordance with historic preservation regulations—makes Deichherz 1869 a distinctive and unique holiday home.<br><br>The holiday home’s 140 square metres are spread over two floors. It features two bedrooms (upstairs: 180 x 200; downstairs: 140 x 200), two bathrooms, two living rooms, a designer kitchen, and even an utility room with a washing machine. The high-end kitchen, complete with a kitchen island, is the perfect place to cook in a lively atmosphere and then enjoy a cosy meal inside or on the terrace. The wood-burning stove in the lower living area creates a special, cosy atmosphere. The layout of the rooms also impresses with its many different “quiet corners,” such as the sofa nook with satellite TV or the armchair corner offering a view of the garden and the surrounding countryside.<br><br>The large cottage garden, featuring a variety of fruit trees—whose fruit you’re welcome to harvest in season—is fenced in, so your dog can enjoy the holiday too.
