The back porch was wonderful. It overlooked the lake and had a lot of shade. The area was very peaceful and quiet as well. The only problem was the seating. The only seating was above seat. There were folding chairs available. Overall it was a very nice stay!

Could fit a small L-shaped seating area in place of love seat. The cooking pans are in need of replacement, we bought 1 pan and left it. The sliding door did not lock or have a screen. Shower curtain could be refreshed. Could use towel bars instead of command hooks which fail. Overall it was a nice spot! Teresa was our contact and she was very helpful in our reservations, staff was great for check-in and check out. thank you!

It would accommodate more, but my grandson and I were quite comfortable. Loved the view and the porch. Porch is bigger than the pictures show. I would certainly rent it again.

The ramp was great for my mother, everything was clean, the air conditioning unit kept the villa very cool, and it was decorated so cute. Most of our family have campers and stay near the ocean. I can’t say enough good things about the shaded deck to come visit and have coffee in the mornings if you have family and friends staying in the campground. A perfect place to stay if you are comfortable in a full size bed. It would be a little tight for 2 adults. The small loveseat does pull out into a twin bed that you could also use if the bed is too small. I would highly recommend this villa! The staff is amazing! Very friendly ladies at check in to pick up the keys. Shelly was at the villa delivering the linens. Her kindness and beautiful smile was a wonderful way to start the week!

Great Location And Comfortable

Reviewer Comments: The property needed some general maintenance which i reported to LCR when I check out but overall the location was great and the stay was comfortable. But the couch was not very comfortable for two people to sit and watch a movie on a rainy night. The place is small but OK for two adults.

There was trash and dirt on the floor and couch. The rental was in a great location but needed cleaned. There is only a loveseat in the living room, a couch would have been nicer to have a place to sit. Also the tv didn’t work in the living room. But overall we will be back at Lakewood again next year but we are renting a different rental.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our first time visiting Lakewood. We had a great stay at Lakewood. The atmosphere was great and the amenities were many. I did noticed a few things in our rental and area that could use improvements. Our rental was satisfactory but they should have swept the deck off which was covered in pine needles and limbs. Also, the back of the rental facing the lake needed pressure washed. The rental was clean but needed a deep clean on the floor which left our feet black when walking barefoot. Also, the sliding glass door was coming apart and the lock fell off while we were there-maintenance did fix the lock. The lines and wait for ice cream and coffee were also very long, one night our family waited in line an hour for ice cream. As I mentioned, our stay was great but a few improvements could be made for the money we paid. We will be returning regardless just my observations.

I had rather had a table and chairs on floor to eat on as too difficult for me to get the chairs off the wall. We would have liked a comfortable chair in living room as we only had a sofa.We moved two chairs in from porch to sit in. The sofa was a love seat so not much sitting room. We ate our meals in our lap as my husband could not help me with table and chairs. We needed a bar in shower to hold on and a mat as floor got slick when soapy. Beds were very hard as we needed a thick mattress cover. I would bring my own next time.We might even consider sleeping separately as beds were double and crowded for us. We loved the location but not enough storage for clothes as we were there two weeks. If we owned it we would definitely make the porch into a room. It is so private and nice. We enjoyed the location and people were so nice to help us. The house was very clean. New paint and wall cabinet in bathrooms for anything I had to buy a soap tray and put my bath toiletries in closet in hall. These are things that could be fixed but we would stay again because of ramp and location. It was clean and it had enough dishes and pots and pans for cooking. There are things that we now know to bring to make our stay more comfortable but it is great for my husband as he cannot get around without a rollater and it was just enough room. He had to park it before he went down hall for bed but held onto wall, door and bed. Can’t everything be perfect when you are handicapped. We enjoyed our time there.

Just a couple small things noticed some ants so a good spray would be in order, water never got hot in the shower other than that would recommend and would stay there again.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The villa had essentially everything one could want out of a vacation rental. The only thing I will complain about is the BUGS. I must have killed 7 different types of bugs during my stay. For example, I bought a dozen doughnuts and left them on top of the microwave, and within two hours there were ants EVERYWHERE on them. Whoever owns the property needs to get that taken care of. I would not stay in that rental again until I could be assured it was taken care of.

Too many bugs

The bugs were horrible. We had to buy bug spray because they were everywhere. I have stayed at Lakewood in rental several times and never had a problem w “palmetto bugs”. They were small and large. I don’t no if it is a problem w that rental or just in general. I want to stay at Lakewood again but I will have to reconsider if I want to chance putting up w bugs.
