Was a bit confused but the cleaning lady helped me out overall everything was nice and clean the showers were super nice the pool/hotub was just confusing
Beautiful home, nice neighborhood. Pool, at least in spring, for us was more a landscape feature. The water temperature was okay for swimming without heating if you did not mind it being a little cool, but the foilage debris was so bad that even 1 day after pool folks cleaned the pool, it had enough leaves and sticks floating and on the bottom to make it unappealing. Other cons were just some annoyances, having to sort through remotes to find some that worked with TV, no paper towels at arrival...not really worth contacting owner about, but not the best vrbo experience.

We had a lot of issues with this trip. I had no communication with the host and only was able to get in because the woman cleaning the place was there. The hot tub did not work and that was one of the big selling points of us renting that specific property. the primary bedroom smelled heavily of mildew from the primary bathroom. It was really pretty gross. There were blood stains on the primary bed pillows that we found when we took the sheets off to leave in the laundry room, and on the top bunk of one of the beds there was no pillow or blankets, only a top sheet being used to cover the mattress. One of the bedrooms had a light that was motion activated, and turned on and off all night whenever someone moved in the room. Again, we had no way to contact the host to address. Any of these concerns. I will say the neighborhood was nice and it was a bonus that there was a ping-pong table, even though it had no net It was overall a fairly frustrating experience.

I am genuinely disappointed to read this now, as I did not receive a single message or call from you during your stay. This is my family's personal home, not a hotel, however I make myself available to help meet preferences and questions such as the lighting or the hot tub heater.
It is difficult to resolve concerns we aren't told about in real-time. We have already addressed the cleaning with our housekeeper, but in the future, please remember there is a person on the other side of these listings who would much rather help you while you are here than read about your frustrations after you have left.
I’m extremely frustrated and disappointed with how this booking was handled. Before booking, I spoke directly with the owner and clearly explained my intended purpose for the reservation to make sure there wouldn’t be any issues. After getting that confirmation, 3 weeks later the booking was suddenly canceled with absolutely no warning or communication. What makes this even more upsetting is that when I reached out afterward to get clarification or discuss the situation, I received no response at all. A simple conversation or notice would have been appreciated instead of being left completely in the dark. This lack of communication and professionalism has been very disappointing.

About the host
Hosted by Yael Tucker
I am a PhD scientist who manages this home for my retired parents. This house is a significant part of our family history; my parents originally moved here to ensure I had the specialized medical support I needed as a child, sacrificing a great deal to give me the best possible upbringing. I loved the peace of this neighborhood so much that I chose to raise my own daughters here. We aren't a hotel corporation; we are a family sharing our home. I am local and always available to help, but I can only solve problems if I know about them during your stay. We appreciate guests who communicate openly so we can ensure you have a great experience.
Why they chose this property
"This neighborhood is a legacy for our family. My parents originally moved to the woodlands to ensure I had access to the specialized medical support I needed, sacrificing a great deal to give me the best possible childhood. Because I had such a restorative and joyful experience growing up under these pines, I chose to bring my own family back here to raise my daughters in that same peaceful environment." The Scene & What We Enjoy Most "The neighborhood is defined by its quiet, natural canopy. It is a family-oriented sanctuary where the forest is a part of everyday life. What we enjoy most: A Legacy of Peace: We love that our daughters get to explore the same nature trails and safe spaces that shaped my own childhood. The Healing Environment: There is a unique stillness here that we find essential for decompressing from high-pressure careers and busy family schedules. Community & Nature: It’s a rare place where you are minutes from world-class amenities but feel miles away from the noise once you step onto our street."
What makes this property unique
This isn't a corporate-owned investment property; it is my parents' personal home. They originally moved to the woodlands to provide me with the specialized medical support I needed as a child, giving up a great deal to ensure I had a peaceful, restorative environment to grow up in. I loved the woodlands so much that I chose to raise my own daughters here. When you stay here, you are partaking in a piece of our family’s history. The "Canopy" Experience The property is situated under a dense, natural forest canopy that defines The Woodlands. Whether you are drinking coffee on the back patio or walking the nearby trails, the sense of being "at peace with nature" is immediate. It’s a quiet sanctuary designed for decompression. A Home for All Generations Because this is a family home, it is equipped for real life. It’s a place where a PhD scientist can work in a quiet corner, children can find a "home base" for theater or dance competitions, and retirees can enjoy a slow morning. We value the quiet, respectful atmosphere of this street and host guests who feel the same.
