About the area
About this property
Spacious New 3-Bedroom Villa and Parking Central near Shinjuku Shibuya and Ginza
Only 4 mins walk from the property to Otsuka Station of JR Yamanote Line. Easily access to everywhere in Tokyo downtown.
Otsuka is a charming and vibrant neighbourhood located in Toshima City, in the northern part of central Tokyo. Served by the JR Yamanote Line, Otsuka Station provides excellent access to major hubs such as Ikebukuro (just one stop away), Shinjuku, Shibuya, and beyond, making it a highly convenient base for exploring the city.
Unlike the bustling tourist hotspots of central Tokyo, Otsuka retains a warm, down-to-earth, and distinctly local atmosphere. The area around the station — particularly the North and South exits — is lively with a wide variety of shops, restaurants, cafés, supermarkets, drugstores, and bars, catering to both everyday residents and visitors alike.
Otsuka is also culturally rich, with the Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre and Sunshine City in nearby Ikebukuro just a short trip away. The neighbourhood itself is home to a number of traditional izakayas, cosy local eateries, and hidden gems that reflect the authentic everyday life of Tokyo.
Whether you're looking to experience the real, unhurried side of Tokyo or simply enjoy the convenience of great transport links and local amenities, Otsuka is a wonderful place to stay and explore.
Dining & Shopping Around Our Villar
Most conveniently, there is a large supermarket just a three-minute walk from our Villar, called "Yoshiya Saine." It carries everything you could need — bread, fruit, vegetables, milk, meat, snacks, coffee, and tea. It opens every day at 9:30 AM and closes at 10:30 PM, making it easy for you to shop at your leisure.
Cross the road at the traffic light by the large supermarket, then walk another minute, and you'll find a food street lined with many restaurants offering a variety of cuisines. It's popular with both local Japanese residents and foreign tourists alike — we highly recommend checking it out!
Within a 5-minute walk from our Villar, you'll find several options for breakfast, including Royal Host, Denny's, McDonald's, and Starbucks. These are all chain restaurants and are open from as early as 6:30 or 7:00 AM every day.
Here are some links to restaurants near our guesthouse, offering a variety of different Japanese cuisine styles, for your reference:

Of course, at both the North and South exits of Otsuka Station, there are even more options to explore, including all kinds of restaurants, cafés, discount stores, drugstores/cosmetic shops, supermarkets, bars, banks, post offices, and more. Feel free to wander around and discover new favorites of your own!
