Four-bedroom home on private 3 acres 2 miles from Desoto Park. Lookout Mountain!
This Lookout Mountain country house on three beautifully landscaped acres hidden in the woods is perfectly located 2 miles from the entrance to Desoto State Park and 5 miles to the Little River Falls. Relax on the property with family and friends enjoying the large outside covered and open deck or sit in the sunroom and enjoy coffee and reading. Easy access to the Waterfalls at Desoto or the Little River Canyon. Enjoy horseback riding to the top of the falls only 10 minutes away with Shady Grove Stables or drive 20 minutes on top of the mountain south to Orbitz Glass and learn how to blow an ornament or flower to save as a memento of your visit. If some of your group likes hiking, you may need to visit more than once because there is no shortage of trails for all levels of experience. Kayaking the Little River is fun for groups and all ages and rentals are available at Desota Park. Experience Zip lining with Screaming Eagles being only a 5-minute drive. Dining options are many if you are not grilling on the green egg on the deck. Only 10 to 15 minutes to either Fort Payne or Mentone both offers excellent choices for dinning and live music. The unique property accommodations will please you with the high ceilings and many windows bringing the outside and nature closer to you inside. There are multiple fire pit areas and walking trail around the property with multiple sitting areas. Enjoy laying in a hammock under the trees listening to the birds. There is a half mile walking trail on the property with many views of the biodiversity with a large variety of trees native plants.
