Casa las Tortugas is a very stylishly restored country house with a large, enchanting garden on the outskirts of El Paso. The 4,000-square-meter property is well-suited for families with older children, as there are many cosy spots and places to sit in the garden. Unfortunately, due to the many steps, the pond, and several exits, the house and grounds are not suitable for children ages 1 to 6.

However, this idyllic house is also a very romantic spot for couples who want to enjoy some undisturbed time together. The spacious 140 square metres of living area can accommodate up to 4 people and a baby who is not yet walking independently.

High-speed internet, water, bed linens, towels, and use of all appliances—such as the washing machine and dryer—are included in the price.
Electricity costs are billed on-site based on usage. They will be deducted from the €200 security deposit.

A one-time fee of €30 per stay is charged for use of the sauna, payable on-site.

The idyllic country house Casa Las Tortugas has been restored and decorated with great attention to detail. The thick natural stone walls blend harmoniously with the lush vegetation outside and ensure a pleasant indoor climate inside.
During the extensive restoration, great care was taken to preserve the house’s original character while ensuring modern comfort. Details such as the original tea-wood gabled ceilings, the traditional wooden windows with their window niches, and the natural texture of the stone walls create a cosy atmosphere that is perfectly complemented by the tasteful furnishings.

The rooms are arranged around the main living area and feature direct access to the lush green garden from every room in the house.
The rooms exude cosiness; you feel as if you’ve been transported back in time without having to sacrifice modern amenities: in addition to an open fireplace, there’s satellite TV and high-speed internet access throughout the house.
You enter the house through the living area, which flows into the open kitchen. The living room, with its Canarian wooden gabled roof, is furnished with a seating area, as well as a reading chair complete with a reading lamp right next to the fireplace.
An antique wooden chest serves as a table. A real gem is the large china cabinet located on the wall facing the master bedroom. Next to it is the beautifully decorated window alcove with the typical Palmerian wooden window sills.
On cool winter days, a small wood-burning stove can also be used to heat the room. In addition, there are thermostat-controlled electric heaters; electricity is billed based on usage. The house also has gas central heating, which can be turned on as needed. The cost of the gas used is calculated and paid on site.

A few steps up and separated by a small wall lead to the kitchen, which is situated slightly higher up. The entire family can gather for meals at the large dining table, which features a bench and four chairs.
The kitchen is very well-equipped; nothing is missing. Large cabinets provide ample storage space. A beautiful traditional sash window offers a wonderful view of the garden while you’re cooking.

A door from the kitchen leads directly outside to a small furnished terrace; slightly below, there’s another seating area surrounded by tall trees that provides shade on hot days.

Two spacious bedrooms with large closets are available to guests:
A bedroom with a large double bed is accessible from the living room.
From the kitchen, you can access a second bedroom with two single beds. Here, you’ll find a small flat-screen TV with satellite channels, and you can get comfortable on a cosy couch to watch TV. If needed, the TV can also be moved into the living room.
In the hallway leading to the second bedroom, there is a toilet with a sink.
Both bedrooms have access to the outdoors, where you can enjoy the first rays of sunshine in the late morning.

On the other side of the living room is a very spacious bathroom with double sinks, a walk-in shower, and a bathtub. It also includes a separate toilet with a bidet.

If you walk through the bathroom, you’ll reach the sauna via a small patio, as well as the outdoor grill. This is a wonderful, wind-protected spot to relax.

The house blends harmoniously into the natural surroundings. The garden is well-maintained but kept very natural.
Enchanting nooks, cosy spots, a large lawn where children can play freely, and various beautiful places to sit or lie down and relax—there’s something for everyone.
