I've been staying at this property for around 10 years, sometimes a couple times a year. Over those years, I've come to love this little house, the neighborhood, and a lot of the local owners in that neighborhood. While we love this little house, I must say I'm fairly disappointed after it transitioning to yet another management company over the years, little to no maintenance and general upkeep has been done. All the appliances need replaced, period. the large burner on the stove doesn't work, the dishwasher has been rusting for years and the solution was I guess to put decorative contact paper over it. The clothes dryer has to been run 2-3 times to dry towels even on high heat. After 10 years all the dishes and cookware are all but worn out and in bad shape, or just non existent at this point. The drop ceiling in the kitchen has needed replaced for the last 5 years, still does. And the bubbled paint in the living room just keeps getting painted over. The upstairs bathroom tub has never drained right either and holds a couple inches of water while showering. With a few cheap things and some kitchen updates this could be the jewel it once was. It doesn't need to be a 500 a night luxury stay with a pool, not all of us want that, some of us want a simple beach house at a reasonable price to enjoy the greatest place in the US, but where its maintained like it deserves and the appliances work.
