Fort Morgan is well known for its peaceful, laid-back atmosphere where vacationers can explore nature at the Bon Secour National Wildlife Sanctuary or the historic Civil War era Fort Morgan.



The wildlife refuge, which encompasses some of the state's last remaining undisturbed coastal barrier habitat, is home to a variety of wildlife, with more than 360 different species of birds documented on the site. Spring and fall welcome beautiful migratory bird populations as they travel between their breeding and wintering grounds. The refuge is also home to endangered species, including the loggerhead, Kemp's Ridley and green sea turtles as well as the Alabama Beach Mouse.



Historic Fort Morgan is situated on Mobile Point at the end of the scenic Fort Morgan Peninsula. Here, you'll find nature areas, a boat launch, a picnic area and beaches along with an on-site museum and opportunities to learn about the significant role the fort played in the Battle of Mobile Bay in August 1864.

Beautiful updates to the unit and great ocean views. Very pleased with how new everything was. Things that need attention: master bath tub does not drain, 2nd bath had bad water pressure, nice new beds but poor quality bedding sheets, no skillet in the kitchen.

Great location quiet beach perfect for family’s with kids and the older couples like us.

No real issues Instruction were a little vague No instruction left in the suite and it took us two days to finally find the key cards down inside a basket Both Adirondack chairs on the balcony were broken could only sit in them against the wall Slider would never lock but on the 4th floor I wasn’t too concerned. Only spider man could get in up here. The rest of the condo was nice as advertised and the grounds were beautifully manicured and maintained The staff we encountered were friendly and helpful Beach was clean and as always it didn’t disappoint Already added this to our list for future stays

Quiet Resort away from Commercial Industries

If you want to stay away from the normal “tourism areas” then this is the place for you. It takes about 25-30 minutes to get to any activities or restaurants outside of the resort. There is a restaurant on site that is very good. You can walk to the beach where there is plenty of room for all of the guests to spread out and enjoy. There are multiple pools on site. Negatives: The room was clean but the bedding was terrible. The beds were comfortable but the sheets were very thin and cheap and the blankets on the bed were extremely thin and stiff. Upon arrival we discovered that only the bottom bunk beds had been made and the top bunks had not been made. I was able to find the bedding for the top bunks and make them but there was no bedding for the pull out couch bed. We had to make due for the first night. I texted the property management and the brought sheets and blankets for the pullout couch bed the next day. The bathroom rugs were terribly stained and need to be replaced. Overall our stay was a good experience and we would go back. I would recommend bringing extra blankets.
