Nutmeg Cabin offers fantastic sunsets and views of Bowstring Lake. This cabin features its original Knotty Pine walls and beamed ceilings in the living room, bedrooms and bathroom.
The kitchen is fully equipped and stocked for your cooking needs, inside and outside.
The large living room offers two walls of windows for lake views. Outside you'll find a deck on the lakeside, screen house, patio with table, grill and firepit to enjoy. This cabin is located on the Northeast shore close to the best fishing on the lake.

Steve is an excellent host and great to chat with. The cabin is fantastic, clean and well taken care of. The linens were provided along with many of the basic necessities including dishes, pots and pans, utensils, silverware and some spices for cooking. The views are wonderful, the lake is great and the sun sets are amazing. We enjoyed it so much this is a place we would stay at again in the future.

Cute, cozy cabinet equipped with everything one needs. The view of the lake was amazing, great sunsets as well! Bed was comfortable & the shower was hot. Host was very friendly.Not the owners fault-The lake water was so low, we couldn’t use the boat lift/dock.Thanks Steve & Debbie

We have been staying at VRBOs for 30 years and this experience rates as one of the best. The hosts have done an excellent job updating and making this place shine. First off, the cabin is spotless upon your arrival. Very well stocked with kitchen supplies & plenty of quality bathroom towels & supplies. The beds and furniture are quite comfortable. It was on the hot side while we were there but with plenty of excellent windows open we never had to turn on the air as the breeze off the lake was perfect. Obviously, this is not a large cabin. However, it never feels cramped inside. WIFI signal is strong and many channels available for TV viewing.Finally, Steve is a top tier host. Extremely responsive and communicative while fully respecting your privacy. We highly recommend this rental!

This well maintained cabin sits alongside a beautiful lake. The sunsets are gorgeous. We would definitely rent again. The host was very attentive and it was clear he wanted us to have a great stay.

Steve was a great host! We are regulars to Northern MN but this was a great spot. quite lake, and great views. Definitely recommend coming here for the chance to unwind.

Steve was super friendly and very accommodating to our need to change our stay date. The cabin is provided with many great items for you to use which was very helpful. Very quiet, remote, and peaceful property; exactly what we were looking for. I would 100% stay at any property of Steve’s again.

The host, Steve, was wonderful. Excellent communication, very responsive and informative. Wonderful blend of rustic and comfort with the cabin. You get a lakeside deck for coffee and water fowl watching.Host includes a good fishing boat and life jackets, as well as the heads up on entertaining places to go, (and not go).My only advise is to cabin goers over 60 that may have arthritis, or mobility issues such as hip replacements, or have had knee surgery. It is several steps to the water. The steps are nice and sturdy with sturdy hand rails and nice, steady dock.Thank you, Steve for a nice and relaxing week.Matt and Jackie
