When we first drove to the property, I was a little concerned. The route passes through what appears to be private property, and the area is still being developed. However, any concerns disappeared once we arrived. The property was wonderful. We spent most of our time outdoors enjoying views of Pine Creek, listening to the water, and watching spectacular sunsets. Evenings around small fires by the creek were especially memorable. While the home is not large, it is thoughtfully designed and well equipped with a dishwasher, full oven and stove, washing machine, strong Wi‑Fi, a large TV in the living room, and another TV in the second bedroom. Each room has air conditioning, and the property comfortably accommodates four to six guests. One of my favorite parts of our stay was falling asleep with the windows slightly open to the sounds of crickets, birds, and other wildlife. We regularly saw deer and even elk from the property at dusk. The location was perfect for outdoor activities. We spent our days fishing and mushroom hunting, with great success catching trout and finding morel and bolet mushrooms.Heidi and Ken were fantastic hosts. Since they live nearby, they were available if needed while still giving us complete privacy. The Wi‑Fi was strong enough to use comfortably even while sitting outside by the creek.I often judge a property by one question: “Would I come back?” In this case, the answer is an easy yes. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

It was a pleasure hosting you!! Hearing that you enjoyed the sunsets, evenings by the fire, and the peaceful sounds of nature is exactly what we hoped to create!!! We're especially happy to hear you were able to enjoy some of the area's best outdoor activities. Successful fishing and finding morels and boletes sounds like a fantastic trip. Watching the deer and elk move through the property at dusk is one of our favorite parts of living here as well. Thank you for mentioning the home's amenities. We work hard to make sure guests have everything they need while still feeling connected to the beauty and quiet of the outdoors. Truly living "Halfway Wild" ha ha Most of all, there is no better compliment than hearing that you would return. We would love to host you again anytime and look forward to welcoming you back for another Eastern Oregon Adventure. Thank you again for staying with us!!
