Our new home is specifically designed to host large gatherings where laughter and family bonding are the main events. We believe the best memories are made when friends and family play together, and we’ve curated every detail to make that easy for you.

"Papa" is actually our family's last name, and we've designed Papa's Place as an extension of our own home. From our family to yours, we hope you find the space and connection you’ve been looking for on a perfect Deep Creek Lake retreat.

Our wooded sanctuary is designed for comfort and connection across three thoughtfully planned levels:

• 1st Level (The Fun Zone): Features 2 cozy bedrooms, a full bathroom, and a dedicated entertainment space perfect for games and karaoke.
• 2nd Level (The Heart of the Home): The main hub with an open-concept living and dining area, 2 bedrooms, a full bathroom, and direct access to the expansive deck.
• 3rd Level (The Quiet Retreat): Includes 2 bedrooms, a full bathroom, and a dedicated workspace for those who need a peaceful corner.

Tucked away in the quiet community of Beckman’s Peninsula, our home is a hidden sanctuary where you can truly unplug. While it feels worlds away, you’re just a short drive from the heart of the action—marinas, dining, and state parks are all within easy reach. It’s the perfect balance: secluded enough for quiet family moments, yet close enough to enjoy every adventure the area has to offer.

• Deep Creek Lake State Park (1.7Mi): Instant access to boating, swimming, and summer sunshine.
• WISP Resort (8Mi): Maryland’s hub for skiing, snow tubing, and the mountain coaster.

The location was wonderful! It was very close to Deep Creek Lake and surrounded by beautiful natural scenery, which made for a peaceful and relaxing stay. The house was exceptionally clean, well-organized, and very cozy, and we were genuinely impressed from the moment we arrived. The thoughtful welcome gift with snacks and chocolates was such a nice touch and made us feel very welcomed.We especially loved the spacious bedrooms and the fun game room downstairs, which was a big hit with the kids, especially the karaoke machine and retro version of game machine. The BBQ grill was spotless and very easy to use, and the firepit created such a warm and cozy atmosphere for the evening. Although we weren’t able to enjoy the hot tub because of the heavy rain, it was fully prepared and ready to use.The host was incredibly kind, responsive, and attentive throughout our stay. The host handled everything with great responsibility and did their very best to resopnd to us promptly, which we truly appreciated.Overall, we had a very positive experience and were impressed by the care and hospitality shown to us. This is a lovely property with so much to offer, and we would absolutely consider staying here again in the future.
