About this property

Beautifully restored early-1900s Church. In Historic District + Pet Friendly

Welcome to The Church!

This beautifully restored early-1900s sanctuary was originally the town's first Presbyterian Church. Today, it stands as a stunning vacation retreat, preserving its original tin ceilings, iconic bell tower, and 17 breathtaking stained-glass windows that flood the space with colorful light. Step through the grand two-story foyer and take in the original bell tower, preserved intact from the building's 1922 construction and soaring 20 foot ceilings. This former sanctuary has been meticulously renovated inside and out with no detail overlooked, blending timeless elegance with modern luxury. The heart of the home is a true chef's kitchen, outfitted with premium Viking appliances, imported Italian doors, and stunning marble surfaces—perfect for whipping up a meal or simply savoring the space. The Church offers inviting sleeping accommodations that perfectly complement its historic charm.
Retreat to the expansive master suite, featuring a spa-inspired bathroom complete with double rainfall shower heads and a large soaking tub that creates a hotel-like experience. Two additional cozy bedrooms provide comfortable space for guests or family, connected by a shared Jack-and-Jill bathroom for easy access and convenience. A half bath on the main level adds extra practicality.
Head upstairs to the loft, where you can unwind with our vintage record player and a curated selection of favorite vinyls. Relax in the custom library and challenge friends to a game from our collection of board games and cards, or take a short stroll to The Gilded Page, the independent bookstore downtown, to pick up your next must-read bestseller to enjoy in the library. Loft has a Queen pull out Sofa Bed
Sip wine on the elevated front porch—prime territory for people-watching as the neighborhood comes alive. Or escape to the serene backyard, illuminated by twinkling string lights. Gather around the hand-poured concrete table and warm yourself by the historic outdoor fireplace, crafted with authentic bricks salvaged from Tarpon Springs' very first paved roads—a quiet nod to the town's storied past.
Nestled just off Spring Bayou in the Tarpon Springs Historic District, The Church sits by the coveted Golden Crescent—the elegant, crescent-shaped residential enclave developed in the late 19th century as a winter haven for wealthy Northerners. Its prime location puts you steps from everything that makes Tarpon Springs special.

Just one block to downtown's vibrant shopping, dining, and local boutiques.
Two blocks to the world-famous Sponge Docks (also known as the Greektown Historic District), where you can watch sponge boats unload their catches, savor authentic Greek cuisine, and explore sponge shops and waterfront vibes.
A quick two-minute walk to the heart of downtown, the picturesque Spring Bayou, and the scenic spot for the annual Epiphany celebration—on January 6th, local Greek Orthodox boys dive for the wooden cross tossed by the Archbishop into the bayou waters. The church is less than two miles from two world class beaches, an easy golf cart or e-bike ride.

Whether you're here to kayak with manatees, catch a sunset over the bayou, or simply relax in a piece of living history, The Church offers the perfect blend of timeless elegance and unbeatable walkability. You're not just staying in Tarpon Springs—you're immersed in its soul.
Enjoy your stay in this one-of-a-kind sanctuary!
