The bedroom has a double bed (180 cm x 200 cm) and a large closet with sliding doors, as well as direct access to the veranda.
The living and dining room features a new built-in kitchen with a dishwasher (Bosch) and an induction cooktop (AEG), as well as a large refrigerator (Liebherr), a microwave/grill (Sharp), a coffee maker (Philips), and a kettle. The dining table has four chairs, and a high chair is also available.
A 44-inch smart TV is available in the living room.
The sofa in the living room is a pull-out couch and can be extended to provide an additional 1–2 sleeping spots for younger children (up to 12 years old).
The bathroom has a shower pan, and the utility room, equipped with a washing machine and dryer, offers ample space for luggage and, in winter, for ski gear.
The apartment is on the garden level and has its own veranda (55 square metres) with a table and lounge chair, as well as afternoon and evening sun and private access. A patio umbrella is provided.
Bed linens and towels are provided.
The apartment does not have its own parking space, but public parking is available nearby.
The apartment is located in a quiet residential area above Schopfheim in the Wiechs district; Schopfheim is within walking distance (2,000 m) and, with a population of 20,000, offers all amenities such as restaurants, supermarkets, shops, and a pedestrian zone, as well as a rail connection (S-Bahn every 30 minutes) to Basel Badischer Bahnhof and SBB Basel Station, with connections to Germany, Switzerland, France, and Italy. EuroAirport Basel-Freiburg-Mulhouse is about a 25-minute drive away and is also connected to Basel via local transit (shuttle bus); from there, you can take the S-Bahn to Schopfheim.
Right from the apartment, there are wonderful opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, and (road) cycling. From the local hill (Hohe Flum), a 10-minute walk away, you can enjoy views of the Alps when the weather permits. The most famous hiking trail, the Westweg, is accessible in 15–20 minutes via the southeastern foothills through Adelhausen. There are also bike paths, ranging from mountain routes to flat trails along the meadow (Todtnauerli) and along the Rhine; the latter also offer train connections for the return trip.
A vast array of recreational and excursion options are ideally located in the surrounding area and can be reached in 30–90 minutes by car or, in many cases, by train (though this may take a bit longer):
- Southern Black Forest with Belchen, Feldberg, hiking and skiing areas, swimming lakes, and mountain biking
- Upper Rhine, Lörrach (population 50,000), Freiburg, Kaiserstuhl, and Markgräflerland with hiking trails and wine regions, as well as the Europapark amusement park in Rust
- Alsace with Colmar, Strasbourg, the Sundgau, and the Vosges Mountains
- Switzerland with Basel, the Rhine Falls in Schaffhausen, Zurich and Lake Zurich, Lucerne and Lake Lucerne, the Bernese Oberland with the Mönch, Eiger, and Jungfrau (including ski resorts), and many swimming lakes
- The Danube Gorge near Sigmaringen and Lake Constance.
Final cleaning is mandatory.
The apartment is strictly non-smoking.
