About the host
Hosted by Russ Wallis
We're a couple who've spent 17 years building a home we're genuinely proud of — and hosting is our way of sharing it. We know Atlanta well enough to point you toward the spots that don't show up on the first page of Google.
We're into good food, great cocktails, music, and the kind of slow Sunday mornings that involve coffee and absolutely no agenda. If that sounds like your vibe, you'll feel right at home here.
We host because we love the idea of someone landing in our city and actually feeling settled — not just housed. This space was designed with that in mind, down to the last detail.
We're easy to reach, easy to talk to, and promise not to be weird about it.

Why they chose this property
LaVista Park is one of those neighborhoods that still feels like a secret. It's residential and quiet without being boring — tree-lined streets, friendly neighbors, and a genuine sense of community that's hard to find this close to the city.
What we love most is the location without the noise. You're minutes from Midtown, Piedmont Park, Cheshire Bridge's restaurants and bars, and some of Atlanta's best dining — but you come home to a peaceful street where people actually wave.
It's the kind of neighborhood where you can walk to a great meal, catch an arthouse film at the Tara Theatre down the road, grab coffee at a local shop, and still be back on the porch with a drink before dark. That balance is hard to find in Atlanta and we never take it for granted.

What makes this property unique
Most in-law suites feel like an afterthought. This one doesn't.
The space was designed and finished with the same care as the main home — 900 square feet that actually lives large, with a proper king bedroom, a separate living area, a fully stocked kitchen, and in-unit laundry. Nothing is missing and nothing feels cobbled together.
You arrive through your own private entrance to your own dedicated parking spot — EV charger included. No shared lobbies, no awkward hallway run-ins. Just your space, your schedule, your stay.
The kitchen is stocked and ready to go, including a signature Georgia waffle kit — because we think a great first morning sets the tone for everything that follows.
Fast WiFi, three Smart TVs, quality linens, and the kind of small details that remind you someone actually thought this through. Because we did.
