The host was great! The house was also great for our big family. IT was close to the lake and close to everything!

The property is large and generally comfortable and photographs are fairly accurate. The stairs throughout the property are fairly steep and challenging for seniors/children or those with mobility issues. The home is set on a lovely treed lot but the yard was not maintained and grass was uncut. The neighborhood was quiet and lovely. The location is convenient. There was a fire pit that was unusable and a large deck on the back of the house that was in need of maintenance, including an unstable railing and dry rotted table seats. There were camp chairs in the laundry room that could be used for the deck but not the most comfortable to enjoy the lovely fall colors.There is a full size washer and dryer and detergents; however, both the washer and dryer needed a good cleaning.The furnishings were minimal and well broken in. The main living area had a sectional sofa that was so low to the ground and deep seated that it was not comfortable. There was no furniture in the upstairs gameroom/open area. The bedrooms had no dressers or luggage racks, and the master had no closet access for hanging clothes. The bathroom sinks had no catch baskets or stoppers, so extra diligence was needed in case of earring drops.The property was in need of a heavy duty professional cleaning due to grease in the kitchen and mildew in shower basins. There was also an immense amount of "personal items" in the bathrooms and kitchen beyond proper apportioning for VRBO guests.
