Great Northstar Location
Nicely equipped home in a nice neighborhood, and just a 5-minute drive to Northstar village. The only downsides are that the outside deck needed some serious cleaning and the driveway was narrow and curvy - not easy to park. But apart from that - all good.

We recently stayed at this house for a vacation, and overall it was an okay experience, but there were definitely some drawbacks. On the positive side, the beds were very comfortable, and we appreciated the back deck—it was a nice space to relax. The location is also convenient, with a quick drive to Northstar Village, which made getting around easy. However, cleanliness was a bit hit-or-miss. Most of the house was acceptable, but the deck area could have been better maintained, and there was a used diaper left in the bathroom trash, which was unpleasant to arrive to. The grill was also too dirty to use, and unfortunately, the fire pits were out of order, which was disappointing since we were looking forward to using them. The kitchen was another downside. It felt very unorganized, with random and mismatched items, so I’d recommend bringing your own utensils, pots, and pans if you plan to cook.We also had trouble with the TV in the master bedroom—it seemed to be locked with a child safety code, so only kid-friendly content was accessible. We reached out for help but didn’t receive a timely response, so we were never able to use it properly.Overall, the house is fine if you’re not too picky and just need a place to stay in a good location, but it’s not particularly impressive and could benefit from better upkeep and organization.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The shuttle to North Star Ski hill was wonderful. We were disappointed with having to shuttle to the hot tub and then pay for it. It meant we didn’t use it. We really enjoyed the heated screened in porch out back.
Had an amazing time at this mountain retreat. Beds were so comfortable and clean. Kitchen was fully stocked. We enjoyed the back screened in patio with heaters, fire pit, and comfortable furniture. We will definitely be back!

WONDERFUL property with a couple shortcomings...
Location, layout and cleanliness of this home were spot on. Our family of four loved our long weekend here. Only complaint was that it needs a bit more finishing of the baseboards and shower fixtures to keep the carpenter ants out. It was also very difficult to find a human to talk to prior to our visit, when we kept receiving notifications that there would be painting of the property going on during our stay.

Very nice property!
We were a family of 6 and totally enjoyed a long weekend at this well kept and nicely decorated home. The shuttle bus into the village was excellent and took only 4 minutes! I think it would be nice in the summer with its nice deck, but couldn't use due to snow. Would recommend.
Only potential drawback is 13 stairs to the front door if you are challenged negotiating steps. Thank you for the use of you home!
We enjoyed our stay here and loved the proximity to Northstar. The space fit well for our group — 4 adults and 2 kids. The house is listed as fitting 8 people, but it seems like that would be tight.
The only small negative is that it was not well stocked with essentials like salt & pepper or extra toilet paper. The local staff did bring more toilet paper, but only on the second to last day of our trip. Otherwise, no complaints. A nice, cozy home perfect for a ski vacation.

Beautiful home and location
This was the perfect house for our summer Tahoe vacation. Except for the glitch with getting the wrong entrance code and waiting outside the home for 30 minutes, on hold with service desk to get in, everything was awesome. No AC was no problem, plenty of shade from the trees and even though temps were above 90 degrees, we were very comfortable. The pool & hot tub at the resort were very nice. The arcade needs updating, don't plan on this being a hangout for the kids.
Clean home with spacious master bedroom and shuttle on call for the village. The kitchen and dining table worked well for meals at home. The screened room would be great for warmer weather but it was too cold for us to enjoy it this trip. Living room sofa needs replacing- not comfortable- but otherwise liked the home and felt it was a good value
The property and location were great. The only problem was getting in to the house. The keypad did not work and there was not a key left in the lockbox. Therefore, it took a couple hours, phone calls, and support and visit from a property manager and work person.
It was apparent that the renters take care of the property and they really try to think of everything that guests may need during their stay. Including a nearly complete set of kitchen appliances and pans/utensils, essential toiletries, enough propane to accommodate the fire pit and grill, towels, bedsheets, blankets and towels, and dish soap, trash bags and paper towels. My family really enjoyed the sun room, the community amenities, the close proximity to north Lake Tahoe and Reno, and the fresh outdoors. I really can’t say enough good things about this place, but since this is a review that may help the renter continue to improve, I’ll list the very few things that could make it even better: more fans in the summer months (maybe one for each room), more spoons/forks so that we did not need to wash them as often, a whisk :) , posted instructions for where the Northstar amenities are. We weren’t able to use the pull out sofa… my guess is that the previous guests damaged it.

Excellent location but house needs some love
Hi, We really enjoyed our short weekend in this property. The location and amenities are great. The house looks much better in pictures than in real life but we still enjoyed our stay. We have some suggestions for improvement. I can provide pictures too: The screen on the sliding glass door was torn. The listing makes you think you have access to the garage but you don't. There were propane tanks set aside in the sunroom (not connected). We had to attach one of them to the firepit ourselves. The sofa bed in the living room is broken and you can't even sit on it. Some blinds had broken wands or top covers. Chess game was incomplete. Outdoor deck and outdoor furniture were very dirty and couch could not be used. One table lamp in the master bedroom does not have a clicker to turn it on/off. Canned lights in the master bedroom had some bulbs out and the room was dark. One of the lamps in the living room wall had a shade barely held in place with what looked like glue and the shade would come off. The kitchen utensils and tools could be improved too. There were no scissors and not enough dishes for our small group of 5 people.
Kitchen lacked towels. Outdoor patio swing broken so limited seating. Either it should be repaired or removed so it’s not a hazard. Beds were comfy. Refrigerator very clean. No dish drainer. Very comfortable home and close to everything we needed. Carpets were very badly stained throughout the home. That was the major disappointment. Thanks!

Cozy Place
The house is a nice and cozy place to stay. But there were hairs all over the bed sheets, and they looked like they had been used. We spoke with Vacasa and they sent fresh and clean bedding the next day. Vacasa was very attentive to our needs. But the showers weren’t clean and the shower curtains were dirty. Nevertheless the location is perfect, the house is well stocked and it is a perfect place to stay and enjoy nature!

Getaway in Truckee
The house is extremely comfortable and clean, well appointed kitchen with everything you need for a great time. There are 3 separate hang out areas, the patio, the living room and the screened in patio so there is plenty of space to relax.
Great place to stay! The neighborhood is really nice and quiet. The house is centrally located with easy access to the Northstar amenities, and a short drive to Kings Beach and Truckee.
We stayed with another family, 4 adults and 4 kids (ages 3 and 6). Very clean and beds are extremely comfortable. We did not know where to go to access the pool or arcade and it took quite a bit of time for Vacasa to figure it out. You also have to pay $8/pp per day to use those amenities. We would stay here again. Bring condiments with you and zip lock bags... There is no ketchup, mustard, oil, etc. Also bring stuff for s'mores, they have fire tables for roasting. I would definitely stay here again!
