The Village lies two miles south of the home, while the SHARC facility, which features swimming pools and tennis and basketball courts, is a two-mile drive or a mile and a half via the trails. Fish or raft the Deschutes River, or, in winter, head to Mt. Bachelor, 22 miles away, a popular destination for skiing, snowboarding, and other snow-centric activities. Year-round, tour the Oregon Observatory to learn about astronomy and get a telescopic view of the cosmos. You'll also find a telescope at Whistler 12, so you can do some star gazing at home too!
