This home was great for my family and I!! Madison was on top of letting us know there was a bee’s nest in a close by tree, she communicated greatly, even provided water for us!! It was our first trip to Michigan and I know if we came to Sugar Island again, I’d 100% look here first!!

Cabin was very nice! Actually, quite charming! Sugar Island was a very cool place! Never seen nothing like it! Madison was just a terrific host. Very pleasant and outgoing, to make sure if there was anything we needed throughout our stay. We will definitely be returning in the future.

We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin is clean, recently updated, and has the most comfortable bed and pillows! Fair warning for summer stays… there is no AC, which is honestly fine because it does get chilly overnight up north, and there are several fans in the cabin. My only suggestion is to add a screen door for the slider… it would have made a difference for sure! The kitchen is well appointed, the towels are fluffy, and the wi-fi is strong. Lots of DVDs and games, a few interesting books. I really appreciate dog friendly options, and this cabin is very dog friendly. I was happy to see a bowl, towels, and a tie out. We brought our own, but still so thoughtful. My only caution… the owner is next door with 2 loose dogs, and my dog totally flipped when they wandered over. She was apologetic and it was ok, but just be aware if you have a dog like mine who is not used to other dogs. Sugar Island is one of my favorite places on earth, and until I can own my own piece of the island, I am thankful to those who rent spaces like this. I would stay again!

Thank you for your review! We will definitely get a screen door for that slider. Apologies for the loose dogs that was my mother who was visiting.
