Our “Mediterranean” apartment was once again awarded 5 stars by the German Tourism Association (DTV) in December 2022.
The exclusively furnished “Mediterran” apartment (86 sqm) is located on the ground floor. The furnishings and warm colours are harmoniously coordinated. Complemented by matching decor, the apartment exudes a Mediterranean flair.
The apartment was completely renovated and redecorated in 2019 and furnished exclusively with solid wood furniture in a Mediterranean style.

1 living room with a genuine leather couch, a 48-inch LED TV, double patio doors leading to the large balcony with a small seating area
1 spacious bathroom with shower and toilet, featuring a Mediterranean ambiance
1 spacious built-in kitchen made of solid ash with generous amenities (including a dishwasher) and a beautiful dining area overlooking the garden.

(If needed, we can provide you with a travel cot and a high chair free of charge.)

In both apartments, we welcome you upon your arrival with the following complimentary amenities:
2 bottles of beer as a welcome gift, dish soap and dishwasher tablets, spices (basic selection), toilet paper, trash bags, paper towels, tea towels, bed linens, hand and bath towels, and a hair dryer

All rooms in both holiday apartments feature high-quality tile flooring and underfloor heating. The temperature can be adjusted for each room according to your personal preferences.

In our courtyard area, right next to our garages, there is a dedicated parking space available for each apartment.

The spacious, park-like garden (1,400 m²) is available for our guests to enjoy. In addition to a beautiful sunbathing area and plenty of seating throughout the garden, there is also a barbecue area and a campfire site (wood, fire starters, and charcoal are provided).

The wilderness garden is also a paradise for children:
There’s a football field, a knight’s castle, a swing, a slide, and a sandpit with plenty of toys.

Our house is located right next to the Bavarian Forest National Park (about 300 m to the fenced area), on the outskirts of Ludwigsthal near Zwiesel, 11 km from the Großer Arber (Ski World Cup course). Excellent transport connections by train and bus. A paradise for hikers, cyclists, and skiers! Storage space for skis, ski boots, strollers, etc.

Wilderness retreat near the national park: Our goal is for you to feel right at home with us! The bike path from the Czech Republic to Regen runs right past our house. Just about 250 m from our house is a “real” grass football field that’s available for use. This field is right on the Regen River, which features beautiful natural swimming spots.

Food and Drink: In our village (approx. 350 residents), there are a total of 3 restaurants: One is located at the “Haus zur Wildnis” (about a 15-minute walk) and is open only during the day. A second restaurant is the “Gasthaus Ludwigsthal” (about 300 metres away). The other restaurant is right across from our house (about 30 metres; 'Gasthaus zum Wurzlsepp'). In the village of Schleicher (1 km away), there’s a very good restaurant serving local specialities (trout, pork knuckle, snack platters, etc.). In addition, in Zwiesel (5 km away) there are at least 5 pizzerias, even more Bavarian restaurants, as well as a Greek restaurant and a Chinese restaurant.

You’ll find shopping options in Zwiesel (5 km away): All the major discount stores and supermarkets are located there. You’re also welcome to use our free bread roll service (daily except Sundays and holidays).
