Casa Mamma Maria is a bright country house, surrounded by greenery, quiet and peaceful. It is located in one of the most panoramic areas of the Alcantara Valley with a view of Mount Etna, the sea of Giardini Naxos and the nearby towns of Motta Camastra and Castiglione di Sicilia. The house is located about 2 km from the center of Francavilla di Sicilia (330 m above sea level). The location is quiet but not isolated, surrounded by about one hectare of land, fruit trees and a beautiful landscape. The place is easily reachable: from the Giardini Naxos exit in 20 minutes; from Catania airport in 60 minutes. Nearby it is possible to visit the Gorges and the Gurne of the Alcantara river, Taormina and Mount Etna.
It is strictly forbidden to organise any student party, bachelor party or drinking party in this house The linen package also includes tea towels. Pets are not allowed. not suitable for people with reduced mobility. There is no air conditioning in the basement. The air conditioning is in the hallway.

My husband and I have just returned from a truly unforgettable trip to Sicily, where we stayed in this beautiful villa on a small farm in Francavilla. The villa itself was stunning—spotlessly clean and full of charm.From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the owners, Antonio and Maria, with a generous gift of wine, meats, and cheeses. We were also invited to pick fresh fruit and vegetables straight from the farm, which made our stay feel even more special.Antonio and Maria are two of the kindest, most gracious people we’ve ever met. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and their daughters were equally warm and loving. We quickly became dear friends with the family.One of the highlights of our trip was when Antonio, despite his busy schedule, took time to personally show us around Francavilla and share its beautiful sights.We wholeheartedly recommend this wonderful little hideaway—with its lovely pool and heartfelt hospitality—to anyone visiting Sicily.Thank you, Antonio, Maria, and your beautiful girls, for your incredible generosity and kindness. Wonderful Holiday

A charming, very comfortable well equipped holiday home with a secluded swimming pool. We had a really warm welcome from Tania, Pina and Antonio that made us feel at home straightaway. Inside there was a table set with bread, fruit and vegetables fresh from the garden and a fridge with chilled goodies wine cheese and olives. There is air conditioning in both bedrooms which made for a good night’s sleep. The family were extremely helpful and Rosie had made up a booklet with the history of the house and lots of local info on places to visit and restaurants etc. Antonio was just a phone call away and everything “was no problem” he even help me sort a problem with my hire car at a local garage. We had a guided tour of the garden and Maria said we could help ourselves to any of the vegetables, but we had no need as she brought us fresh vegetable when they came to work in the garden. We had a great 2 week holiday sightseeing and chilling by the pool. The whole family came to say goodbye which was very nice they were wonderful hosts, we will miss them.

Toller Pool und mehrere Terassen und Balkons. Schon zur Begrüßung gibt es ein so liebevolles Paket an Ernte aus dem Garten, Mortadella, Käse, Brot, Wasser und Wein, dass wir am Ankunftsabend gleich zu Hause essen konnten. Die ganze Vermieter-Familie ist so nett und herzlich, dass es uns eine Freude war, drei Generationen von "Mama Maria" und "Papa Antonio" über Kinder und Enkel zu einem gemeinsamen Abendessen einzuladen, ein großartiger Abend. Und vielleicht für andere Deutsche gut zu wissen: Alle sprechen fließend Deutsch, da sie lange in Deutschland gelebt haben. Francavilla ist wunderbar für Ausflüge geeignet - nur fünf Minuten entfernt ist die beeindruckende Alcantara Schlucht und in 35 Minuten erreicht man mit dem Auto das wunderschöne Taormina. Auch der Ätna ist vergleichsweise nah. Wir waren Ende Oktober hier - der wärmste Tag 27 Grad, Mittelmeer noch bestens zum Baden, der Pool ebenfalls noch nutzbar. Wir haben es sehr genossen, Danke für Eure Gastfreundschaft, wie kommen gerne wieder!

Sejour fantastique

Nous avons été très bien accueilli par la famille propriétaire. Nous étions attendus, avec plusieurs attentions ; et le logement correspondait parfaitement à la description. Sur les hauteurs, à 18 km de l'autoroute, entourés d'orangers. Pour qui recherche le calme, les paysages avec du relief, une piscine vraiment privée, c'est le top ! La piscine privative est très grande pour un logement 4 personnes (7 mètres de long je pense), plusieurs tables pour manger dehors. Vue sur les differentes collines / monts environnants, dont l'Etna. Places de parking. Logement très propre, climatisé, de la pression pour les douches, lave-linge, tres proche d'un supermarché. Véhicule indispensable pour les differentes visites. Si nous devons revenir à l'est de la sicile, nous reviendrons ici ! Merci à eux pour l'accueil, la disponibilité, l'excellent rapport logement / prix.

Wir hatten eine tolle Woche im Casa Mamma Maria in Francavilla de Sicilia. Die Gastgeber sind eine sehr nette Familie. Sie waren da, als wir ankamen. Als Willkommensgeschenk bekamen wir Wein, Käse, Schinken und Tomaten usw. Der Pool wurde fast täglich gereinigt und das Haus hat alles, was man sich im Urlaub wünscht. Und die Umgebung ist wunderbar.

Séjour agréable

Nous avons passé 2 superbes semaines face à l’Etna, au calme avec un environnement très apaisant. Rosy et sa famille (et leur chat trop mignon) nous ont très bien accueilli avec fruits, boissons et produits locaux à disposition, grande disponibilité et réactivité de leur part. Merci beaucoup pour cela. La maison est située à une vingtaine de minutes de la belle plage de San Marco, à peu près autant de Taormina. De jolis villages pittoresques à visiter autour. Le potager d’Antonio et de Maria nous a offert de belles tomates, même si l’entretien de ce jardin se fait quasi quotidiennement (les coucous à l’improviste ne permettent pas de se baigner nu dans la piscine 😬). Nous conseillons vivement cette location. Merci encore à la famille de Rosy

Séjour agréable dans un endroit très calme

Très bon séjour avec un très bon accueil. Les propriétaires sont très gentils et nous conseillent très bien sur les visites à effectuer. La piscine est vraiment très bien surtout lorsqu'il fait très chaud ...s'il y avait juste un petit "bémol" ce serait d'avoir de la climatisation dans les chambres car seulement présente dans le couloir de l'étage.
