The property looks just like the pictures, however there is no air conditioning and not enough air movement inside the unit. When we got there, the temperature was mid 80’s and very humid inside the condo. With 3 kids, including a baby, we were unable to stay there. The ceiling fans in the bedrooms were tiny and even with the glass doors open to outside, there was very little breeze into the main room. My baby was red faced and sweating inside.I called right away to ask to change my stay and the first person was kind and said he would check to see if another of their units was available. The manager of the property, May, called back and was very unhelpful and rude. I would never try renting from Grand Welcome properties again and wish I had avoided this whole fiasco.

This property does not advertise air conditioning, and Hawaii’s tropical climate can be hot and humid, particularly during warmer periods. The home is equipped with ceiling fans and natural ventilation, as reflected in the property listing. We also want to clarify that May is a member of our Customer Care team and is not the property manager. Our team did make an effort to assist by exploring alternative accommodations, and we went a step further by purchasing and delivering three additional fans to the property in an effort to make your stay more comfortable. As a goodwill gesture, we also offered you a 50% refund, which you accepted. We understand that traveling with a baby in warm weather can be challenging. However, if air conditioning is an essential requirement, we strongly recommend selecting a property that specifically advertises AC. Alternatively, a cooler destination may be a better fit for guests who are particularly sensitive to Hawaii’s heat and humidity. We strive to accurately represent our properties so guests can choose accommodations that best meet their needs, and we encourage future guests to carefully review the listed amenities before booking.
