I had no real issues while here. I struggled with opening the sliding doors, but that is more on my weak self than the doors. I was there to work on my dissertation novel and am not outdoorsy, so I can't comment on the land/river and recreation options. I just wanted a remote area with a screened porch so I could sit outside and see nature without being too hot or eaten up by bugs. I got that and met my writing goal with no issues.

overall the stay was great, couple things that i think should be better, first the post never gives you the address and when you reserve it you only get coordinates not an address, this property is bit off the path as they say down a dirt road deep in the woods, why not just post the address so people can see where the rental is? second if you are older or have physical limitations this place has a very small spiral staircase that goes to the bedroom upstairs, very difficult getting up and down, but that just was difficult for us, the inside of the house is very nice, overall a great place to stay especially if you enjoy bring deep in the woods, to me personally it was a bit pricey for what we got after we seen what/where it was, remember these are just my opinions, nothing against the property or the host, didnt have any issues just these opinions that would benefit future renters

Cute little house. Didn’t expect the bedroom to be upstairs via a spiral staircase. It was a cool place to stay.

I purchased this home in 2017 because it has all the features I’m looking for in a vacation home. A quiet, relaxing location, access to water to drop in a kayak, and plenty of nearby parks for hiking and biking. I hope you will enjoy spending your time here as much as I do.

Why they chose this property

This home is located in the Apalachicola National Forest on the Sopchoppy River in a beautiful and peaceful neighborhood. The surrounding area, known as the nature coast, is full of parks, hiking trails, wildlife viewing, and ocean beaches. Not to mention great seafood.

What makes this property unique

My favorite feature is the screen porch with river and forest views. A great spot for relaxing or having a meal. We also offer two kayaks for guests to use, which can be launched from the property.
