The cabin was exactly as described and was very safe and comfortable during Labor Day weekend with my cat. Having Dollar General right outside the front door was super convenient. Lisa was a fantastic hostess and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

This place was very clean, and the bed was really comfortable. There was a nice deck and it was very convenient since it was right next to Dollar General. Very quiet at night, which was nice. There was one small couch in front of the TV but no other chairs except the kitchen chairs. Had a nice size refrigerator and a coffee pot. Bathroom and shower were very clean. There were solar lights leading out to the parking spot for the car however, after dark, when the solar lights were out , there didn’t seem to be a way to turn on the lights outside the door to see when I was loading the car, etc. The only other concern I had was that you had to take the trash with you. I only stayed one night so I didn’t have much, only paper however, if I would’ve had a bunch of messy trash from cooking for a few days, it would’ve been impossible for me to carry out a full, dirty, trash bag and take it 400 miles with me. A garbage can outside is a must. That being said, I would definitely recommend this place for one to two people.

Thank you Becky for your wonderful review! I would like to address the issue about the trash? I was unaware that the trash receptacle was not there. There should’ve been an outdoor trashcan for you to put your trash in. But, with your comment about if you had been cooking the whole time, one day, this is only a kitchen that it only has a microwave so I’m not sure what you would be cooking other than warming something up in the microwave. Anyway, nobody said you had to take your trash with you. You could’ve simply messaged me and left it outside of the building. We would’ve been happy to take it for you. I wish you would have told me about the lights outside not working because we would’ve told you how to turn them on or checked the situation out for you. But I never heard anything about it from you.

After my stay, the host messaged me that I had violated their pet policy because my dog had slept on the bed. They never sent me a pet policy! I think it’s unfair to blame someone for something that was never communicated. The host also lied. She initially said that the pet policy was posted on the ad. It wasn’t. I asked her to screenshot the ad if the pet policy was on it, and then she changed stories. She then maintained that it was “common courtesy” to cover up places my dog would lay. Courtesies are provided to friends, not rental companies that I am paying a service for. This host was mean and terrible.

Everything in this review is completely wrong. Anyone who thinks that it is appropriate or OK not to have courtesy in any rental is not the type of guest we would like to host. It’s beyond me that someone thinks that it is OK to completely ruin all of the bed linens, by allowing their filthy, dirty dog, to cover everything with hair. Everything had to be thrown away. We have been doing rentals for seven years, and our pet policy has never changed. It has always said that pets require prior approval, and the pet policy must be followed.

The cabin was clean but the kitchen is a kitchenette and there's nothing in it. There is no oven or stove, only a microwave, refrigerator, and sink. There are no cooking utensils or dinnerware except for 4 plastic plates and 2 bowls. There are only two coffee mugs in the cabin for drinking coffee, no other cups or glasses. The grill is charcoal, which is not provided, and there are no grilling utensils, not even a spatula. And if you want to eat hot food, the grill is the only option, unless you choose to eat out. The manual states please do NOT flush toilet paper down the toilet, or any other paper products as the cabin is on septic, and the checkout instructions are confusing, since they vary depending on whether you read the manual or read the auto-text that's sent the day before. The Dollar General saved us since we could buy supplies such as plastic forks, a small knife for cutting, plastic cups, charcoal, and a lighter for lighting the grill since nothing is provided except the grill itself. We ended up spending another 40 for the basics at the Dollar General next door for things that I expected to be provided and was provided in every cabin that I've stayed in except this one.

We appreciate your comments, it will help us to add some things to the Cabin. If you would’ve let me know that you needed them, I would’ve brought them to you right away. As this is set up to be a studio, hotel room, type rental as listed as a kitchenette, not a full service full kitchen rental. Also, in the listing, it does not say that it has a stove or dishes for cooking. We provide coffee, coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave, sink, towels, sheets, blankets.
