Terrapin Station was a great place to stay for hiking and visiting wineries in the Finger Lakes. It's a very large house and had plenty of room for a couple and our black lab, Stella. It was warm inside when we checked in, but after emailing John, he turned on the AC and cooled the place down. The first night we were there we made pasta and there were plenty of pots and pans for easy cooking. The stove worked great and the kitchen had all the utensils we needed. We enjoyed the big yard for walking our dog and stargazing. You can access the Finger Lakes Trail less than a mile from the house, so we got in a lot of hiking. And John left great suggestions of wineries we hadn't tried before. The folks at Osmote are very dog-friendly and just friendly all around! As other people mentioned, there was a rotten egg smell from the water, but we bought two gallons of water to make coffee with and drink. The smell wasn't a factor in the shower. My only disappointment was we weren't there a couple of days earlier to see the meteor shower. It would have been the perfect location!

Hey, thanks for the review! I’m glad eveyone including Stella had such a great stay. And I’m glad you got a chance to visit Osmote — Ben makes some great wine, Osmote is such a great, dog-friendly spot and we love having good neighbors like that around here good people, good wine, happy dogs, and good vibes all around. 🌻🐾🍷✌️
Very clean, peaceful place with a wonderful vibe. Especially enjoyed the hi-fi stereo and turntable, vintage and well maintained. The artwork and decor matches the vibe. If you’re looking for a respite from hustle and bustle this is your place! Highly recommend.
