Welcome to The Lazy River Lodge

An escape to a peaceful and secluded 3-bedroom cabin nestled along a quiet, shallow stretch of the Chippewa River. With a long, flat water frontage, beautiful views, and plenty of room to relax, it’s the perfect place to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy everything the Wisconsin Northwoods has to offer — in every season.

SUMMER ON THE RIVER
During the warmer months, spend your days enjoying the water right outside your door. The gentle river is perfect for floating in a tube, paddling a kayak or canoe, taking the paddle boat out for a cruise, fishing, or simply wading and enjoying the shoreline.

We provide you with 2 kayaks, a canoe, and a paddle boat for guests to use - making it easy to get out and explore without having to pack your own equipment.

After a day on the river, come back and relax on the wraparound porch or waterfront-facing deck, fire up the grill, play yard games, or gather around the fire.

FALL GETAWAYS
Fall is a special time at The Lazy River Lodge. Come experience the beautiful Wisconsin fall colors while enjoying everything the Northwoods has to offer.

Spend your days hiking, hunting, fishing, exploring nearby ATV/UTV trails, or visiting local fall festivals and events. Then return to the cabin, grab a warm drink, and cozy up inside or around the fire. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife.

Whether you’re planning a weekend of outdoor adventure or simply looking for a quiet fall retreat, the cabin is a wonderful place to enjoy the season.

WINTER ADVENTURES
When the snow arrives, The Lazy River Lodge becomes the perfect place to enjoy outdoor winter activities OR escape the cold and cozy up inside.

Enjoy snowmobiling, ice fishing, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, hiking, hunting, and other winter outdoor activities in the surrounding area. After a day outside, come back to the warmth of the cabin, curl up by the fire, enjoy a home-cooked meal, play some cards, and settle in for a cozy evening.

There’s something special about watching the snow fall over the river while you’re warm and comfortable inside.

We had a wonderful time at the cabin. It was perfect for both relaxing and staying busy. Everything was clean and there was so much provided, we didn’t have to worry about a thing.

If your looking for an amazing place away from civilization where you can relax with your family and furbabies. This is the place to go. The cabin is stunning and has lots of options. You can fish the river from the property or take the kayaks/canoe on the river. You can light a fire make some smores and have family game night with either the outside games or even inside games or you can sit on the deck and enjoy the sound of nature and the view. Our dogs were able to come and the one thing we enjoyed was even though the yard isnt "fenced" its secluded by tree and bush lines on each side of the cabin, so even though there was another dog our dogs could hear they couldn't see them, so they were able to relax and enjoy the non-stimulating environment. If your the outdoorsy type there is a lot of public walking, atv trails and beautiful falls you can enjoy. Other fun things to within an hour that we enjoyed was the Scheers lumberjack show, Great northern train ride and the shops in downtown Hayward. If you do the train ride highly recommend stopping at Strongmans brewery if you like BBQ food. If you shop downtown Hayward Anglers Bar and grill is good and before you leave check out lakewood Cafe that is in downtown winter. I was hesitant traveling almost 4 hours to the middle of nowhere with the kids and dogs worried there wouldn't be much to do, but our vacation here didnt disappoint. The kids asked if we could come back yearly they enjoyed it that much!!

This was exactly as the description. Lazy river experience for some much needed down time with the family. Host was super helpful and quick to respond.
