Great location, within walking distance to everything. Instructions to get into apartment was easy. Only recommendation would be new pillows. They were super flat.
The apartment was clean, spacious and a perfect location to train, bus and restaurants. Communication with Greg was stellar and I loved that he sent photos with some of his directions. Laundry was a bonus! My only complaint was there was no soap for showering
I can understand maybe no shampoo but there was only an almost empty hand soap available. The store was close by!
Wonderful studio in the middle of Interlaken! Interlaken West train station was only a 5-minute walk away. We loved being in Interlaken as a base to do various hikes around the area. The home was very spacious for 2 people. Nice balcony to drink coffee and people watch. Do note that although there is a washer inside the home on the listing, it is not hooked up and we had to do our laundry in the basement. Glen was a very responsive host! Thank you!
The apartment is in a very convenient location- about 5 minutes walk from Interlaken West. There are a plethora of good restaurants within a few minutes' walk as well.
Everything about the apartment was as advertised. The pictures are very representative of the apartment. Hot water and water pressure were both good, and the bed was very comfortable. Check-in was easy, Glen provided clear instructions. The apartment was very clean. Be aware that there is some noise from the number of restaurants on the street in front of the apartment, but it always subsided well before we went to bed, and the street was actually quite quiet later at night.
Overall, a great stay.
The apartment is in a great location and is clean with lots of windows. The blinds took some figuring out but once we did, they work great to make the room dark at night.
The bed is comfortable but other US visitors might find the pillows a bit small. The water pressure in the shower is great and there is a washer/dryer combo that is pretty easy to figure out even if you don’t read German.
The kitchen is clean and it’s hard to tell in the photos but there is some closet space with hangers and shelves.
Glen is a great host, providing very detailed check-in instructions and is very responsible via messages.
My husband and I stayed four nights in the apartment. The location was a five minute walk from the west train station. The apartment was in a good location. It was an easy walk to restaurants, west & east train station, etc. if you are someone who is capable of walking for up to 30 minutes. The wifi was very good. The apartment was clean and Glen was quick to respond to emails.
I rated the apartment as a 2 because it was very basic and not comfortable. It's a two bedroom apartment in an old building. You can hear the people above you walking around and talking. The main door to the apartment has a window without a blind or curtain and when the hall lights are turned on, it lights up the apartment. The curtains on the other windows are very thin. The linens are worn and torn. The mattress was thin and not at all comfortable. The pillows were small and worn. We had to put clothes behind us to be able to sit up in bed. The sofa was also very uncomfortable. There is no tv. The kitchen had only the very basic of supplies. There is an oven but no pan to put in the oven or oven mitts. You have to buy everything if you plan on cooking: salt, pepper, paper towel, plastic wrap, etc. because there are no supplies. We have stayed at many VRBO places in many different countries and this has been the most uncomfortable and basic place we've stayed. The laundry room is in the basement and the dryer did not heat, therefore did not dry our clothes. The coffee shop Velo is right great.
