The Loon’s Nest was perfect for a long weekend in the Rio Grande National Forest. Abbey was a wonderful host and the rental was very clean and nicely appointed. We’ll certainly stay here when we travel to this area again.

Very remote location with steep stairs to climb. Dark area from highway, yet near the Horco mercantile which has a small restaurant.Beautiful area and 15-20 miles from small town of Antonito, Colo.

We did address the stairs with this guest prior to booking and they said they would be okay as they’re ’active seniors.’ The area is remote (in the mountains) and is dark as the guests did arrive late into the evening. Horca Mercantile is not a restaurant (and is misspelled as well). This review doesn’t accurately reflect the accommodations themselves.

Good property. It’s was summer so it fit a little hot in the afternoon, but no bigs. Great host and a great location!!!
