Stayed here for a weekend family reunion. The resort is clean and our kiddos had such a great time. They keep begging to go back. We stayed with 8 adults and 6 kids. Beds were comfy and clean. Kitchen was very well stocked for cooking. Large communal area inside and pour hrs outside we’re great for meals and family time. Kids loves the games in the basement and we spent a lot of time on the lake. Would definitely recommend. Only issue we had was a lack of communication about a leak that happened while we were there. It’s also worth noting that there are only 10 passes to the resort/pool and you can not acquire more. We did have some issues getting all our guest in at once a few times and that was a tad frustrating. Would have just been nice to know that ahead of booking and it have been clearer in the pre-booking info. Other than that we had a great stay.

Creekside Cottage

I loved the location at Rumbling Bald Resort. There were plenty of activities for kids and adults. The lake, pickleball courts, golf, pool, boats, and restaurants were nice and gave a "resort" feel. Beware of lack of internet on certain parts of the area leading to the resort and on the resort. We rented a pontoon boat, and it was a great experience.

awesome house!!

awesome house, some items left in the fridge, couldn't find sleeper sofa, but all in all great place and location, had fun swimming and fishing in lake. Could use a welcome book with info, had to deal with alarm system and fire dept. with no code to reset it.

Love the area but home needs some work

Thanks for allowing us to stay at the home. The home is very worn. The furniture is damaged, couch is ripped, the front porch stairs are bowing, kitchen flooring is coming up in some places. The main area has been renovated but the bathrooms were not great and mold and dirt around the toilet bowls. The master bathroom flooring is coming up.

Only partially updated home

Open concept kitchen and main room. Small and close to each other upstairs bedrooms not updated like main room. Downstairs bedroom and game room. Kitchen had a Mish mash of items, ample silverware and plates but erratic items scattered in-thermoses without tops, storage container tops with no bottoms. Rough deck wood.

Ummmm well

The area is nice as far as the home it was ok there’s was a roof so I guess it was livable. We were eligible for early check-in. Once we got there and looked through the home the best thing in the house was the kitchen! The kitchen floors were not swept. There was a rip in the couch and none of the tvs worked downstairs. The bathrooms were outdated. The first full day the internet went out which caused me an entire workday with No Internet to do my work we had to go a full day(24hrs) without internet and cell service and it was quite aggravating. The steps going down to the fire pit was tricky one step was taller then the rest which caused me to fall and scrap her knee Thank God nothing broke. The advertising for things in the house was not all there. I would not recommend this house as a vacation home.

Thank you so much for your feedback. I am so sorry to hear about all the difficulties you experienced during your stay. It must have been incredibly frustrating to have so many things not working properly or inaccessible. It's disappointing that you were not able to fully enjoy the amenities that were advertised and that you encountered so many inconveniences. I can understand how all of these issues would have put a damper on your trip. Your experience is certainly not what we want for our guests, and I apologize for the inconvenience you faced. Please know that we take your feedback seriously and will work to address these issues to ensure a more pleasant experience for future guests.

Needs Attention to Detail...

Not sure what the set up is here but the place feels like it was rushed to be rented out. Several lamps that don't work or have cords that don't reach outlets. Several outlets (specifically next to the sink) don't allow the toaster to be plugged in. I'd be very carful with the games down stairs as the air hockey table looks like it could collapse at any moment and the basketball game game looks to be in the same shape. Areas of Improvement 1) No Welcome book so it took hours for the management company to figure out how to tell us what the wifi password was and since service is spotty this info should be posted in the unit. 2) The VRBO listing states that the amenity access cards will be left in the unit. They were not and we had to go to the check in area to retrieve. The wonderful staff seemed confused that the owners of the unit would not have left the access cards in the unit. The staff at Rumbling Bald was great. 3) The oven did not work for the first 36 hours we were there. When the technician came out he noted that a known service call was in to fix the oven after we left. The management company seemed clueless as to the issue. And never once apologized for the inconvenience. On the positive side, the kitchen is well stocked and the entertaining area upstairs is as advertised. Location is good and quick drive to beach, poll, etc...
