Within walking distance you can reach the lake, where you can fish and swim. Near the house you will find a playground, volleyball court, table tennis table and barbecue area. In the area around the Twistesee you can also enjoy cycling and hiking. Visit the baroque town of Bad Arolsen with numerous stores, museums, cafes and restaurants. In the Kellerwald-Edersee National Park you can take part in guided hikes or visit the animals in the wild animal park. In winter you have with Willingen a fantastic ski area within easy reach.
